Has this occurred yet? Am I too late?

Also, I have a MY13 built Sept 2012. Therefore do I need the Sand issue fix applied first if applicable?

Hmmm - I'm note sure if your build date is affected. I suggest you check with your dealer based on your VIN. If you get the run around from your dealer go straight to Customer Service in Melb - the best contacts are in this thread few posts back.
