Tell them you are not happy and to fix it again or give you a full refund and find a better person. I have used several mobile S&D guys and they are magicians when it comes to minor repairs.

That's the thing I don't know anyone in MacKay that can do that. And the Aussie guard people say that either I agree with their policy of pay half and get the entire fender repainted or stick with what they have done for me

Re: Scratch and Dents

I would ask a few dealers who they recommend. They use these guys all the time to fix up minor marks on cars they sell. I am sure there is someone up there who can do the job properly.

Since I paid for some aftercare, they put some kind of color protectant, and they sent someone to do some touch up , he put some filler and painted over it and now looks like a glob sitting over the chip, I was advised that repainting the entire panel will not bond as well and will be clearly apparent in 12 months,

The only place I know of is the touch-up-guys in my town,
For appearance, it's always best to do the whole panel. That's crap about it not bonding. Provided waxes (particularly silicone) are removed and the paint rubbed down, it will bond all right. On the other hand, since the chip is now sealed, why not wait for another chip then do the whole panel.

As an aside, some mentioned paintless dent removal. I looked it up and this is what it is

Re: Scratch and Dents - black off-road equipment

For scratched on rock-rails, bull-bars, bash plates or even black off-road wheels, a textured black paint is required. I had a lot of trouble finding any in Oz. I final got a can of AEV black textured paint. It works great. Just wipe the surface down and spray. Drys in minutes and the scratch is almost undetectable. I note that Murchison now stock it which is really handy, see AEV Textured Black Touch Up Paint | Murchison Products AEV QLD Distributor

What a dick, slaps cars with hand and you hear the ring on his finger smash against the paintwork.

Without painting the whole panel, that is your only real option. It does look like it has been applied rather sloppily, and if applied a bit better the result would be less noticeable, but a respray of the panel is your only other option. Due to the orientation of the metallics when it's painted at the factory any small spray repair after sanding will be very obvious, as the metallic orientation will be slightly different to the rest of the panel, hence why the entire panel needs repainting and blending.

It is very difficult to almost impossible to paint an entire panel and blend in an open environment, hence why it would need to be done in a spray booth.
