Thanks for the explanation Juan. My issue was more "how to avoid activating the internal movement sensor when the system is armed?".
By locking with the key, I am not arming the system but securing the car and I figure with a dog inside no one will break in anyway!

I see yea I thought that may have been what you were asking. Wouldn't it be better to disarm the alarm and lock the vehicle, instead of keeping the dog in there with the doors unlocked ? Just a thought

If you press the lock-button on the FOB four times to lock the car, the ultra sound sensor for internal movements is switched off.
No clue why this is left out in the Manual.

Thanks Rapsak. I can confirm this works. Tried it today and left dog in car no problems. Exactly the solution I was looking for when I first posted.

Hopefully this will work for the 2005 GC CRD diesel 3.0L model. If so, thanks for the heads up.
