Re: Servicing jeep in perth

Hi Jason, we got a free courtesy car whilst our replacement reverse camera was fitted. I haven't had to leave my car there for any other work yet, but IIRC they said normal fee is $25.. Or was it $35.

Cheers, Simon

Re: Servicing jeep in perth

Booked my 2012 petrol in to Osborne Park for a 48,000km service. Usually go to Maddington. Ossy park say there is a NEW schedule which at 48,000 they do not do Spark Plugs, or the Tranny fluids. Instead do the Front and Rear Diff oils, Brake Fluid and Pollen filter.

So the general service(oil/oil filter), Brake Fluid, Pollen Filter for me is quoted at $700. What do you think? Booked in for next week.

No need for me to do the Front and Read oils, as mine were done at the old schedule which was 36,000km.

Edit: Just checked my last 36,000 service invoice. I had the FILTER CABIN AIR replaced, is this the Pollen filter?

Re: Servicing jeep in perth

Well I withdraw my previous comment regarding my 50k at Mandurah Jeep as my service was $700 cheaper than the other Perth Jeep dealers who were willing to charge for a transmission oil change. According to Mandurah, Jeep released a bulletin saying the trans oil only needed relacing if it was leaking or contaminated and in the end my 50k only costed $285 as I supplied my own oil

Tran oil replacement is no longer required at 50k, but is now at 90k.

As of a few months ago, The only thing required at 50k is :
Oil/Oil Filter,
Spark Plugs(Moved from 50k to 90k)
Transmission axle oil(Moved from 50k to 90k)
Both Diff oils(Moved from 36k to 50k)
Brake Fluid bleed and replace(Introduced to 50k).

$1100. If excluding Diff oils at 50k, then price is $700 remembering Transmission oil and Plugs are not included in the 50k. The only thing bring the cost to $700 is mainly from the brake fluid bleed and replace. Otherwise the general service would work out to be around the $500 mark.

I would certainly have it serviced at a thirdparty with log book servicing IF(BIG IF) I did not opt for the maxcare Chrysler extended warranty. Because I paid for that, I am required to stick to dealer servicing for the next 4 years.

Re: Servicing jeep in perth

Had my 10K service late December, went to CJD Maddington.

Would not recommend.
Highlighted a problem to them, they didn't bother to look at it
Washed my car the day before, and told them not to wash/vac the car... Gave them a spotlessly detailed car, got one back that the apprentice had gone over with an oily rag, both inside and out.. Spent the night trying to fix it with detail spray, but needed another full wash to actually clear up

They use to be good, but they wouldnt entertain me for my headlamp complaint. New management are wankers.

I'll try Ossy Park next week. Warneroo/Wangara are faggots also, ran by idiots.

Drawing the line thin here in Perth.

I generally have nothing but praise for Ozzy Park Jeep service department. Matt the service manager there has been most helpful with all my vehicle issues. Pricing for services is a bit steep for Jeeps all over it seems. My only gripe with the service is that they plug in that useless diagnostic unit and charge you around $80, which tells you absolutely nothing about problems with these vehicle unless obvious.

I will second the above comment about the Osborne Park guys. Have to admit I have no idea what goes on behind the scenes, but the front desk guys are very attentive and have dealt with all concerns very well so far. Issues have been resolved with no arguments, nor negative service.

This was not what I was expecting pre-purchase, based on some other people's experiences at other dealers...

Cheers, Simon

Re: Servicing jeep in perth

My next service will be going towards OsPark guys then..

The front desk at CJD Maddington were nice enough, but when I asked if they had looked at the one issue I had with the car, it took 15 minutes of flipping through paperwork to confirm I mentioned an issue (about 3 times when handing over the keys, and made them write it down) - and another 5 minutes to shrug it off as "well there's lots of sounds in the workshop, so it probably sounded normal I think"

Re: Servicing jeep in perth

Anyone tried CrusinOn in Wangara? they are Jeep specialists and talking to the guy today, he seemed quite knowledgable, prices were $320 for the minor services, topping out at $860 for the most expensive.

Hearing all these stories of Dodgey jeep dealers charging silly prices starts me looking elsewhere. Might have a chat with JeepKraft in Wangara too, they seem to have the right gear -

Had Jeepkraft rewire my winch and install my UHF
Great guys very knowledgeable and all drive and love their Jeeps
With the full Jeep computer system they are apparently capable of doing updates although they would charge you for their time.
I will be definitely taking mine back to them for a service once it returns from the panel shop

Mines booked in for 48k at ossy this Tuesday.

I saw an electronic signboard on ocean reef rd wangara. Jeep kraft advertise from $195 for logged book servicing.

You mentioned jeep kraft af access to dealer computer diagnosis, i wonder if their keen on enabling the remote start feature on the 2014+ if owners supplied the oem remotr start kits.

I take it jeep kraft can also enable the tow hitch/parking sensor didable option once i install a tow hitch.
