Re: Servicing jeep in perth

Service manager Matt from ossy park called up this morning for a follow up on how things went and how their front staff were. Either that or he read my whining post on here.

We're on our last leg on dealers in Perth, so not burning any bridges here.

PS, those still going to maddington dvg, speak to "guy", his always been accommodating compared to the other ****s. He's been there for a while but was working elsewhere on an assignment last year.

Re: Servicing jeep in perth

Not being picky and I could be wrong, but I only got around to check this morning. Is this what new oil should look like? I've serviced cars myself in the past and I've seen it more cleaner/lighter than this. OK, there's many viscosity and I've driven the car for a full day since I picked it up. I recall you saying that your vehicle had done 50thou. Looks Ok to Me and if its a Diesel I'd be very pleased.

I had my parking brake adjusted at the service and it literally is 2 clicks to stop the car. 1 click can slow the car completely. Do you think it's too tight?

IE when the park brakes released, do you think there's still tension on the brakes slowing down the momentum?

The only way to tell for sure is to jack it up.

The reason why I bring it up is I feel the car is like holding back in gear changes and doesn't feel like there's much play in gear when the car is moving. Almost feels like it wants to hold back on gear changes.

2 clicks on the park brake and the car solidly can not move even in gear. Would have to give it a lot of fuel for it to move. It's doing its job, but not sure if it's too much?

Does it roll down a gentle decline in neutral?

Re: Servicing jeep in perth

Yeah I think it might be paranoia then. The parking brake mechanism has a fairly short stroke on mine, and I've been cranking it down plenty hard. Parking your shiz on a hill is bad joss.
