Check the cars @ Nepean Motor Grp. They had both a MY12, and a MY11 (with tow hooks) last week. They were extremely competitive when I compared Liverpool with them.

Hey guys just a heads up.... I'm goin the MY11 Limited Mineral Grey for $55K.. delivery is Monday... just a odd thing I noticed the MY11's have a fuel consumption avg of 11.4 combined and a MY12's are 11 ... any one know why? .... any way who cares about 0.4litres per hundred when I have those tough looking TOW HOOKS!!!!

There was talk about the 2012s getting a retuned transmition making it shift differently, maybe this is why? Not sure if the diesels got this though

Awesome. Don't make me drive to where ever it is you live and steal them! Check out the driveline threads i think there was an upgraded torque converter. Also the power steering is now electrically assisted (rather than totally hydraulic) which would give a small efficiency increase.

The MY12 gets better figures, due to the less weight of lugging around those front hooks.

My 2011 has electronic steering (EPAS) and I am not aware of any changes that would result in better fuel economy. I suspect it is more likely a correction to the 2011 models, rather than a change, or it could be the additional weight of the excellent (although unused) towhooks.

unused? you're killing me! Actually I'd also prefer them unused but available....

The Pentastar had EPAS added to MY2012, it was hydraulic before that.

I guess I confused Mendo's car as the one he was referring to when he mentioned the EPAS. EPAS could affect the fuel economy, as this is why they use it.
