Milous are you able to confirm if Australia will be able to order the 'vapour' option on the MY13 models (and I assume this means they are built from July 12 onwards)..

Jeep US that is of course

Anybody that been promised a 1 Sep delivery been told official $price yet? (I'm still understanding late Sept/early Oct release). If 130-ish 2012 models & 250-ish backorders, I guess some will just take what they can get. I'm sure the pleasure will outweigh the bitterness. We shall see, eh...

Re: SRT8 Order Book is Open

The launch is 1st September, I was told cars would not be delivered to buyers until October, but that was a while ago now.
It is good that JeepAU are treating client like mushrooms.......fed shit and kept in the dark. good one Jeep

We are going to wait and take delivery of a later built model for 2013 compliance. What's a another few months when we've already waited like 10 months right?!

Re: SRT8 Order Book is Open

Yeah "good one Clyde!!!"
I smell Bullshit as to why it is being delayed. I also do not believe they will get 1000 units this year, or even next year. I bet there is a stuffup somewhere and they are just making up excuses.

We know there are over 100 units already in the country. They could easily do a launch and then make the buyers wait, they have done it for the normal JGC's so why not the SRT8's.

Along with my Jeep, which is my daily drive, I've always had a toy car. For 15 years an RX7 and an assortment of Mitsu's that have come and gone along the way. I've had a soft spot for an Alfa and I've just about convinced myself to go and get one. And who do you think now has the franchise for Alfa Romeo in Aus - yep, Chrysler...

I really am a gluton for punishment.

This year, extremely unlikely for 1k units. All SRT8 production has been on hold for the past couple of weeks, and when it resumes they will spend one month building the Alpine editions and the following month for the Vapor editions. That only leaves a couple months left, I doubt that they will even build 1,000 more worldwide during that period.
