Re: Tailgate glass lift faulty

yeah, 8 degrees in Brisbane is as cold as the same 8 degrees you have in Sydney, still brass monkey cold!

You're confusing the 30 deg winter days of Cairns with Brisbane, it's freexing here in middle. Remember, Melbourne is closer to Brisbane than Cairns is.

Heated seats and steering wheel have come in very handy up here!

Re: Tailgate glass lift faulty

Dealer has ordered a new button after I spoke to them, however I will need to wait "5 WEEKS" for it to get here because they have none in the country, dissapointing service from the dealers so far, but we will see if the 5 weeks was as accurate as the empty promises from the salesman when we ordered the vehicle!!! I wonder if I will see the switch this year.

Re: Tailgate glass lift faulty

It is not the Dealer's fault that there are no spares. Point directly to Chrysler Australia for that.
You should phone Jeep Support 1300 133079 and lodge a complaint. You could also suggest to them that rather than wait for another ship to be loaded with that small part, they take the initiative, and have one airfreighted. The cost to them would be less than a few dollars.

Re: Tailgate glass lift faulty

Remote start won't work on aussie vehicles either I'm fairly confident.

We have an ELV and WIN setup whereas US vehicles only have the WIN module, they have to be replaced as a pair to get things to work. As far as I know there isn't a workaround for this.

Re: Tailgate glass lift faulty

Switch is fitted and working fine again, the dealer actualy got one within a week without me making any noise so I am happy with the outcome of this job.
