Re: The pre-runner discussion thread

Ha! Someone just asked for this on the Murchisons facebook page:

https://www.facebook.com/MurchisonProducts

Mark Yaxley is there ever going to be a nudge bar ( not full bulbar) for WK2 that has a plate that protects the washer bottle? I need somewhere to hang lights & also need to protect my washer bottle & don't want or need a full bar. If you can make 1 I reckon you will sell heaps...I definitely will get one

Re: The pre-runner discussion thread

I honestly believe that there's a commercial level of demand. It's a good looking vehicle, but exposed to damage if you try to explore its quite reasonable potential. Many of us fit or option in ~$1k of underbody protection, and I think that virtually everyone who's done that and isn't fitting a bull bar will at least want a Jeep Garage spec Armoured Airdamn.

I'm sticking with the additional "n" damn it.

Re: The pre-runner discussion thread

Better trademark that name!

I can see the issues Bill is talking about though with ADR, sensors and styling, also with the different lines of the MY14 and the previous models. But yes, they should be able to sell a bunch of these, if priced well. I don't want a bullbar, just something that protects me on those 3-4 trips I do each year.

Re: The pre-runner discussion thread

A small bar , like a nudge bar, that would support Lights, Aerial, Winch, Bar Fridge, would be a winner in my books.

Re: The pre-runner discussion thread

There's a suggestion that Rhino may be making an evolution bar for the WK2, like this:

It was designed to provide protection for these components off-road while maintaing the stock appearance of the WK2 on-road. This means removal of the OEM front air dam for off-road use will still be recommended.
I think this would be perfect. To have the vitals protected and still keep the original look by being able to put the airdam back on afterwards would be great.

Re: The pre-runner discussion thread

My problem with it (and I think Barboots is saying the same thing) is that you will have to carry the airdam around with you while offroading, or leave the airdam at home and drive on the street with half your bumper missing until you get to where you will be offroading.

Many might find that acceptable, but I'd like something that works more as an airdam replacement that increases approach clearance.

Re: The pre-runner discussion thread

That bar on the ranger looks really good. Hmmm, wonder if that will fit on a 2015 Ford Everest.....

Re: The pre-runner discussion thread

Hey Guys,

We're still working on the Pre-Runner, but I've created a thread for the WK2 Lower Front Guard if you're curious. It's just in the prototype phase, but if you're looking for some behind the scenes info, be sure to check it out.

Cheers,
Bill
