For those with Quadra lift suspension.
If you use the the suspension to level out your van for a overnight stopover.

Get it to the desired height then go into settings and put into 'jack' mode. That way it won't move on you.

Good advice but please remind me what jack mode is? I do my own wheel rotations and I must admit, at the back of my mind I know there is something else I should be doing rather than just chocking the wheels and jacking but so far there hasn't been an issue

To stop the car from self levelling. Probably not a big issue, but if you have one corner jacked up the suspension on the other corners may lift.

Not sure how you get to that setting for MY13 and prior. But for MY14 and beyond it's done through the Uconnect settings.

My My13 manual says
To assist with changing a spare tire, the Quadra-Lift™ air suspension system has
a feature which allows the automatic leveling to be disabled. Press and hold both
the “Up” and “Down” buttons simultaneously between 5 and 10 seconds; a
message will appear in the EVIC stating leveling has been disabled immediately
after both buttons have been released. Driving the vehicle over 5 mph (8 km/h) will return the air suspension to normal operation.

Bob, you'll need to update your ride......
You don't have Tyre Change Mode.
One of the little tweaks that come with the later models. Fatboy has the method for you.

Our 2012 never gave us a problem when we leveled fore and aft with the QL, and we did it many many times, but I guess there's always the potential.

Re: The Towing thread

I put mine into tyre change once I have the desired level. Then I drop the jockey wheel and take up the slack or make fine adjustments.

Not bad actually. You get a new car and the fun of putting on the goodies all over again. It should be easier the second time around.

Re: The Towing thread

Long shot however, I'm trying to get in contact with a Jeep owner from Sydney, he may be a member here...
We had a very quick chat through the windows on Pennant Hills road at the end of last year, while I was moving the family to Vic. He had a Mopar tow hitch bezel, fitted to his 2014 GC Laredo with a very proud Jeep owner number plate. Just like to know how hard it was to fit the tow hitch to align with the US style cut out position. With the wife's horse on its way down to Vic I now need a tow hitch, so I'm told.. Now time to read all the info here and learn..
PM me if anyone knows this owner/member.
Cheers
Mark
