Re: The Towing thread

I am wondering, is there a tow mode to select in the '14 GC, or is it an automatic selection?

The new 8 speeds adjust automatically based on loading.

Hi Len,

Sounds like an ideal, economical solution mate. Could you possibly provide the details of the switching box you're using, as I couldn't find it on the Jaycar website.

Many thanks,
Steve

Hi All. I just had my Tekonsha P3 installed into the media cubby today and an Anderson plug fitted to the rear of the car. Very happy as I pick up my camper on Saturday. Great deal and very good work completed by Adventure Auto Electronics. I'll post photos later.

I have full access to all media functions and can close the door. We had a bracket made for the anderson plug so there is no issues with just attaching it to the body.

I've requested a 12 pin plug for my 2014 GC. Has anyone been supplied a 12 pin as part of the 'factory towbar'?

Re: The Towing thread

They supply a flat 7 pin as standard. You will have to request a 12 pin,
I will take a photo of how I setup my plug and anderson plug tomorrow.

I have requested the 12 pin, and have it in writing on my contract.
I still have to research all this electrical stuff. I just ordered the 12 pin because I guess it must be twice as good as a 6 pin..
