Re: The Towing thread

I've used plain old Aldi mirrors for the last 40 odd thousand K, and they have given me absolutely no issues and done the job of providing a view brilliantly.
They are similar to the Milenco, in that they clamp to the mirror surround top or bottom, but they have 2 rubber straps which span the back of the mirror.
They don't move, even when blasted by a road train, and there is no vibration in the mirror field.
For $19.99 I believe they are excellent value.
The downside is they don't look flash in the van park amongst all those very expensive mirrors, but I can handle that.
John

Re: The Towing thread

Got a pic John? We don't have an Aldi here in WaitAwhile.

Twenty bucks sounds good, not that I'm unwilling to spend $110 for the Milenco Aero if they're worth the difference to my ego.

Re: The Towing thread

Thanks for making the trip John. I reckon I'll save the money and try a set of those if... I can find a way to get them.

Don't worry about the iPhotos. Us Android crew can handle it!

Cheers,
Steve

This is your problem.

Unless it is truly required for better framing NEVER take pics or video in portrait mode, always turn it sideways to landscape mode.

Google Vertical Camera Syndrome and you will see a ton of results. It is a syndrome that is destroying the word and needs to stop. 15 million people died as a result of it last year.

Git orf and get back on topic...
Thanks for the hints tho.
You must have something better to do now.
I hadn't even cleaned the truck and now you've made the bugs show up. Hours and hours of work for me to do tomorrow - and it'll be 30 plus here in Darwin - I'll be out in the hot sun.
Why did I ever try to help out Barboots?????
John

Re: The Towing thread

John,
Were your pics really taken with an iPad? I'm trying to convince the wife to let me spend a few grand to upgrade my semi-pro photographic gear but this is not making it any easier.
