Tow hook I found in boot

I found this book I my new jeep. Is it a recovery book that just goes in the front bar? Can I use it if I get stuck off road?

I think you will find that isn't rated for Off Road recovery... more for towing onto a flatbed on road.... it would be extremely dangerous to use it for recovery purposes...IMHO anyway...

Re: Tow hook I found in boot

It is NOT a recovery point!

It is for light towing only.

Didn't your dealer explain this? (Sarcasm).

Chief Products and Uneek both produce front recovery points.

My dealer initially told me it was ok to use. this was 4.5 years ago. hopefully they are better informed these days.

I'll buy it from you!! I'm in the USA and we don't get those. I need that style of tow hook for my SRT when I take it to the track. See signature photo.
