Re: Trail Rated Badge position

Looks alright Bob. I must say it would look better without the indicator there but personally think it fits better there than the rear which as you said would look cluttered.

Looks great. Good job. Safety doesn't come first in the United States; side blinkers would be nice. When changing lanes on the freeway here, I am never sure what the guy I am parallel to two lanes over has in mind.

Safety is certainly good but there are tradeoffs. Detroit in their parochiality have decided that all export vehicles should be the same. Europe in their anality have decided front recovery hooks are dangerous. So all 2012+ vehicles sent Australia and South Africa have no front hooks. What were they thinking? See the link No tow hooks? Front Recovery Soluition help .

Re: Trail Rated Badge position

Sort of amusing, as the Overland is 'Trail-rated' due to ground clearance from the air-bags, and traction from the Quadra-drive II.

Then Jeep decides that I can't have my stickers, that I paid for, because of the indicators?!

My Overland has side blinkers in the side mirrors that cars in ajoining lanes can see when I activate them for a lane change or turn. Don't also need blinkers on the front fenders.

When parallel to other car you can't see them. Don't want fender marker anyway. Was trying to be sociable. I don't have and don't like DRL's either.

Re: Trail Rated Badge position

Glad to see this thread, I was about to start one about opinions on placement, the "real" fender location, or tailgate where I was originally thinking. I have weird opinions on emblems, sometimes I prefer shaving them off for a clean look, but if they are cool emblems, I love them.

I love the trail rated design, I would stick one on every side if it wasn't vulgar. So I have one, and it sounds like tailgate is where it's going.

Re: Trail Rated Badge position

I wonder if they will ever be able to release a SAND RATED Badge?
