Hi Scarps
No the glove box is behaving, quite as a mouse!

As it only rattles when I drive, whilst keeping 1 eye on the road I move my hands around the seat applying a little pressure at the same time, this process of elimination has it narrowed to the headrest steel stems that insert into the the 2 plastic lugs on top of the seat. I'm nearly 95% sure that's the source. It seems the stem(s) either rubs against the plastic lugs or maybe even further down onto the foam or something else. I know when I apply a little pressure on it tends to stop. To really nail it I'll have to get my wife to drive whilst I sit in the back seat to really get close. She already thinks I'm mad so it shouldn't be hard to convince her to amuse me.

I had thought of squirting a little silicon spray on the stems and move them up / down to see if that solves it.

In any case looks like the seat manufacture needs to spend a little more on R&D.

Re: Trim Defect

That seat image looks like they forgot to put the trim back when they were recovering the drug shipment.

Could be. Maybe it's my fault. When we heard the car was held up at PrixCar at Minto, we drove over there to see if we could get a look. No chance! There were thousands of cars surrounded by a high electrified fence. I took a couple of pics of some Jeeps anyway (see attached). When we got home we got a call from the cops. Someone had spotted us lurking and reported our car. All sorted, no issues but perhaps they pulled our car apart after that.

Re: Trim Defect

Mines "due" in next week. I got a letter welcoming me to Chrysler and that I will get a phone call to arrange my complemtary 100 point check. (Odds on that happening???) Point is looking at the trim that needs to be replaced at that time and would require the dashboard taking out of the way. I am really concerned that what I will get back will be as noisy as a witchdoctors rattle leading to a lifetime of woe. I am considering accepting the damage and seeking compo. Would you agree?

Re: Trim Defect

Mate that doesnt need removal of the dashboard. It's the A pillar trim isnt it? Look at page 2 in the manual at the end of this link .... http://wk2jeeps.com/interior/2011_wk...moval_001E.pdf

Should be no more than a 10 minute swap out.

Re: Trim Defect

Here's another trim issue that's bugging me. Where the drivers side door trim (chrome and timber) meets the trim under the vent on the dashboard, the mis-match is about 1/4". I'm talking alignment/noticable step between the two and not the gap between the door and the dash. The passenger side is perfect. Its as though the door trim has to move back 1/4" or the dash trim should be pushed forward 1/4". Are all RHD GC's the same?. Hard to believe this got passed the interior designer.

Re: Trim Defect

Same here! Mine isn't as noticeable being all black but I think most of the apparent misalignment is due to the driver's high angle of view. Also I think they allowed a couple of mm for wear and sag in the door as it ages. After all, this vehicle is intended to take bit of a beating.

(Lucky I spotted it straight after getting the car home.) This is definitely damage caused either during manufacture or shipping and I wonder if there are other owners who have experienced the same. I wonder if they store the rear parcel shelf or other items on that side of the car during transit? The damage is a pretty sharp nick out of the plastic.
Hey guys, good news, 6.5 weeks after order, my trim panels arrived. Hurrayy!! HOWEVER, no sign of my missing bonnet seal...BOOOOOO
