US OEM sourced purchase revisited.

Having just ordered for the second time US supplied filters for the Jeep I thought I would post the method I use that others may find useful.

Fyi the group buy was established by others; here is the link to it on Just for Jeeps
Jeep Garage Group Buy WK2 3.0L CRD Maintenance Package

These parts are roughly charged at least $350 ish here in Australia.

I use a 28degrees credit card so I’m not slugged with currency conversion fees

Currently JUSTFORJEEPS international ship forwarder the postage cost is $69, previously it was $82.

I use my own ship forwarder “shipit” as postage within the US from JustforJeeps is free and its $50 via TNT to my home.

Total cost equates to $236 landed, it was better when our dollar was more than the US.

Others have posted that they use non OEM filters with success, I personally will be sticking with OEM until warranty runs out.

Re: US OEM sourced purchase revisited.

I like it!
I do this with our current Holden Cruze and import about 3 years supply of filters and washers in one bulk buy.
It works out at aprox 40% less than the GM parts through the local dealer.
If I can package and ship the same volume of parts from the US for the 3.6L Jeep and it's cost effective, that's the way I'll go.
Thanks for the info...
