Hi enforcer, this is one of the electrical problems for the accc to look at...also the vehicle shut down at 110km/h with no warning.

This is why I'm going to remove the start/stop button and use the fob like a key. It's a habit from 30+ years driving and i'm yet to leave keys in the ignition.

I have left wallet, mobile and other stuff in the cup holders though. Far too easy to do leave a fob behind if I do that too.

I find the key on a key ring clip is useful. Snap on an off your trousers/shorts belt holder.

Lucky you didn't have half the highway drive over you with instant engine breaking!! What happened exactly? Did you find the cause?

Enforcer, I presume this was the RRT 12-024 flash. I'm not sure if it is related to the that flashing but since ours was done we're having the vehicle rise from Park mode to Normal Ride height when the motor is first started.

I've found it is doing this consistently in the morning (parked overnight locked in the garage) and at the end of a work day (parked locked for a long period). It is not supposed to rise until you press the up or you reach a certain speed.

I tried it lastnight after the vehicle was off for a just a short while and not locked but it didn't rise!!! But it has done it after just short periods of being stopped/off.

I was using the park mode consistently before this at it never went up as it is doing now.

These electronic/software glitches are worrying. These are ones that are noticeable but what other glitches are in there that are not noticeable, obvious or visual... or waiting to surface when you hit 110k as Gribbs found out.... or me when I was doing 110k passing slower traffic on the F3 freeway when suddenly the ACC switched off with a failure.

When did the 12-024 flash get done? There is another TSB release on May 10, http://wk2jeeps.com/tsb/tsb_wk2_0803412.pdf, to reprogram the Quadralift control module.

It's not related to RRT12-024, but if it was done very recently then maybe that was applied too.

Ours is a MY12 vehicle and has done this since new. Might mention it next time the vehicle is in for warranty work.. Unfortunately all I will be expecting is another blank look, saying that they will check into it, only to be told that they couldn't replicate the problem....etc. etc.

Our main issue at the moment is that blind spot detection is frequently not working, which also means that the front passenger window won't work and also the the front passenger wing mirror won't dip. Service Dept. says that unless it does it when they have it, they cannot detect any faults. Frustrating.

Re: Vehicle going into lockdown

All I can say to everyone with intermittent problems is to use the video camera on your phone to video it when it happens. This should be enough to show them you are not BS'ing them and they need to fix it. I did it with the starting problem, but they still have NFI.
As for the fix it was the RRT12-024 apparently, but then I have no faith in their ability to do anything right. When I picked up the car they said that they did the electrical thing I asked for.....Great way to instill me with confidence.
If it happens again I will be getting nasty, as they have had 2 go's at getting it sorted out.
