Hi all,

I've posted this in the top level Grand Cherokee - WK2 forum, but as I'm in Austrailia, thought it might be something local to our country, so I'm also posting it here.

I bought my GC near the end of January 2012, the build state states Oct-11 and the compliance date is Dec-11. You will note my surprise to find that the vin is "1C4RJFEG2CC......". This is for a 2012 model so now I'm confused as to what I have and what TSB's I should be looking at?

The MY2012 model was released in 2011, so your numbers seem OK.

Mine is the same - MY2012 model built October 11 but compliance plate Jan 12.

You might have noticed that the MY2014 model was just released in the USA a few days ago on 14/1/13. Those Crazzyyy Americans!!!

As far as TSB's are concerned, it is the build date that matters.

Compliance label is fixed in Australia, so it will be a month or two after the build date. This is common for all imports.

Typically european and american cars might be 6-8 weeks difference, and asian vehicles might be 4-6 weeks.

Asian car manufactures know wherwe australia is located and don't need to look up the map with each boat
