So far I have used it on a number of rock steps, just set the selec-speed point it at the rock steps and let it do its thing, you can feel the car control power delivery to each corner as you go up.

But you can do the same thing by just selecting a gear and keeping revs even, and the added benefit is that if you then need some more momentum as you proceed you can give it some. I don't see the benefit of up hill ascent control other than a party trick.

Downhill makes sense because you don't want to be locking up and sliding the rear around, but uphill????

It also help up hill when your bouncing around, your right foot is not moving.

It allows you to jump out of the car and take some video.

Last one to the top is a rotten egg!

You've read the rumours about the Disco 5 using remote drive? Now that would be a good party trick!
