Magoomba, what size Yokohama's are you getting?, I have looked on the Yokohama site and have not found a size that would suit the GC .

Cheers Yoda

Re: What tyres does it come with?

I'm talking to the dealer about swapping tyres for the Geolandars.
Dealer tell me that the spare is smaller size 245/65/18 vs 265/60/18.
I find that difficult to believe, can somebody confirm that?

This on Overland with ORAii package.

The dealer is correct as the wider tyre will not fit in the wheel well

Re: What tyres does it come with?

Thanks for confirming, I have learnt to always question the dealer.

Still, I find it strange that Jeep does use a different size spare. Doesn't really make sense on a vehicle that's made for going off road where a spare may be required more often than for school pickup duty.

Re: What tyres does it come with?

The rolling diameter is the same, the difference is it is a steel rim and more narrow tyre.
This would get you out of any trouble in most situations, just be happy it is not a crappy space saver spare.

Re: What tyres does it come with?

... and the full size tyre apparently does fit into the spare wheel well... But only if it's flat!

Mal
After emailing Jeep and discussions with the dealer regarding the fact that the 2011 model Laredo was to have A/T tyres according to the printed specifications, they agreed to change them to A/T from the Kuhmo,5x Coopers have been fitted in the correct size, and lo and behold the 265/60R18 fits in the wheel well, there is not much clearance between the tyre and the cover, but the cover closes properly.

Re: What tyres does it come with?

My Build Sheet says Kuhmo 265/50R20 BSW All Season Tires.

Guess I'll have to swap them for tyres to comply with the ADR

All season refers to the fact that they can be used in all seasons in the Northern Hemisphere i.e. snow. I believe that it is not uncommon for yanks to run seperate winter and summer "tires". All season just means you can use them through the different seasons.

If you are looking to change tyres on your vehicle, it is well worth checking out tirerack.com. I bought the tyres on my soon to be former car (Outlander) from tirerack. Cost me $780 for a set of four Michelin Hydroedge Green, delivered in under a week to my door via fedex (Tyres were $460, shipping was $320). Nearest equivalent tyre available here were Coopers at $350 per corner. Fitting cost me $75, so all up $855 vs $1475 if I bought the Coopers locally. Tirerack doesn't advertise the fact they ship internationally, you have to email them, get a quote and wire the money to their bank account - no credit cards accepted.
