I am currently traveling and will post some pics next week. These are the globes
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ls_o00_s00_i00
They've been in for ten days and 1200 km and ok so far. The first ones I bought were the Putco Premiums rather than Nova and one failed on the low brightness quite quickly.

So they plug straight in or are there tricks? They look great!

Ross51,

I agree, wow they look great. Did you change the globes in your foggies too?

I'm happy with the final result. The DRL's have now been in for over 2000k and 3 weeks with no problems to report. Also no signs of overheating etc and I'm keeping an eye on them. The Putco Novas are a direct swap and the methods to get to them in forums here make the job easy.

I did also change the fogs for LED. I've had a couple of tries and disapointed in result. I finally used these:
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/280900535...#ht_4653wt_299
which are 7w LED's. Still not all that bright but then standard fogs are not either. A couple of the tabs do need to be trimmed and they then fit well. They are a bit of a point source because of one LED at front behind a lens but look ok.

Still working fine. I think the Novas are ok.

I did a similar thing but went back to the standard globes which give a nice wide flat beam. The LEDs don't work well with the reflector and scatter the light too much. See Fog Light Replacement (White)

Re: White LED DRLs

Can u show us a pic with the fog lights and headlights on as well? Also do the fog lights have any canbus restrictions? I was thinking of ordering a similar fog light to the one you ordered and installing them. thanks!

Sorry, I'm fully back to standard now. The LED fogs gave a very dispersed light which was fairly useless for anything. The standard bulb gives a nice low flat beam albeit weak. I didn't have any CAN issues. I suspect that happens more with the safety related lights like blinkers and stop lights where the current level is monitored to ensure they haven't failed.
