WiTech Clone advice

Hi all, well a Jeep WK2 finally arrived in my shed for towing our caravan primarily and has the quadra lift. I,ve been a mechanical and electronics hobbyist for many years to the point of control freak status in doing everything myself. Always purchased the various interface OBD11 connectors and run clones for renault, Audi, Citroen and Nanocom for the TD5 Discovery.

Heaps of searching tends to point me to the wiTech clone at approx 500+ And certainly no internet which I am fine with that as will be keeping the jeep for a while and enables me to service for example the quadra lift once I get the adaptor tool of course (or work out a hybrid solution to connect)

So, are there any people who have actually tried a clone and thoughts. Somehow I think its the only practical option for me over time or will I be the early adopter here. Certainly the Jeep is a challenge for all of us from reading so far in relation to dealer access via the port.

My mate bought one as well in identical spec i.e. 8 speed diesel hence can service both.

Re: WiTech Clone advice

Okay, I think I might be betteroff with Autel DS708 as will do the jeep and all my other cars. Legit too which is a bonus. Just need to see if it will do the quarda lift servicing as then it will be all I need.

Re: WiTech Clone advice

I might end up getting this and now just have to identify the modules that this unit actually does. The best document so far in the Jeep family is this one that identifies the modules by their Letter code and then functionality. i.e. it appears to be able to test the ELSD and Quadra Lift is ASCM (I think - So no active test 2013 but programming avail 2014? ticked - I'd reckon basic leveling on pressurisation) A bit more reading as just want to be certain. I'm sure there other brands but start with this as is more realistic pricing. More to follow when I know...below is the function listing for the DS708. Overseas seller down to US750 with courier costs incl. Decisions?
