WK2 alarm issues

Have had an on going issue with intrusion alarm going off at odd times
Some time within a few minutes of locking the car
Some time 2 or more hours from securing the vehicle
Last year when locked in the garage it went off all night much to the neighbours objections

Dealer had no idea
Over easter when camping again the issue every night.

Back to the dealer.

They have no not found anything but have reloaded or update 4 updates,
They say there is reported issue with an alarm sensor in the Japanise models so they did that up date as well
So fingers crossed.

The most accurate part of what you wrote was "DEALER HAD NO IDEA"

Re: WK2 alarm issues

If you're having a PITA from the alarm falsing... or you want to leave the sunroof open, or your pet inside, or whatever... lock the car with the keyfob, wait a sec, then press the lock button again three times in quick succession. The security light in the cluster will burn steady, and your alarm should be deactivated.

Cheers,
Steve

That's all? No patting of head and rubbing of tummy at same time?
