Re: WK2 Bullbar spotted in Sydney

Looks like we can't win either way. I expect that the best way to avoid hitting something is to stay of the roads from dusk to dawn.
I rode a Motorbike across Australia a couple of times and that was plan then, can't see any reason to change now just because I am in a tin top.

Personally, I would be quite happy if I could get a bar that will support a winch and driving lamps, and still retain all my front end functions.

I just wanted somewhere to lean my fishing rods against and a flat surface to rest my stubbie holder - ECB is perfect. And I plan to use these functions much more than a winch (never needed one in 30 years of 4wding) or dusk to dawn regular driving!!

I think he was talking about the actual picture not the bar in the pic

Honestly though, that's the best design I have seen in a bullbar yet.. As much as hanging out to August isn't pleasing, least they are actually committed to building one that is both functional as well as good looking..

Re: WK2 Bullbar spotted in Sydney

They are comming from somewhere, (bullbars that is) saw a WK2 today in Maitland with a full alloy bar on, I saw him a month or so ago at a servo, but he had gone by the time I got out of the shop. I was going to ask him where he got his. Oh well he's local so I'll see him again i'd say.

Re: WK2 Bullbar spotted in Sydney

I don't want a bullbar, actually I hate bullbars, BUT I had a mad Emu taking a very fast and decisive run to intercept my Jeep, and it did, costing a new headlight and more!
If there was a reasonably timid looking (and well working) bullbar I would buy it...

Re: WK2 Bullbar spotted in Sydney

I don't need a bull bar, a winch nor a light bar. I just need to get rid of the air dam and replace it with some decent protection. Of course I've just jinxed myself. The next I night drive I'm going to hit a roo, swerve off and get bogged.

Would like to know if the ARB bar will be compatible with the overland.
Adaptive cruse and parking sensors?

ARB is still dragging the chain and treating us like mushrooms!,
Have a look at Uneek4x4's bars, will fit park sensors and adaptive cruise, will be ADR and crash tested!.
Dave at Uneek has involved the members of Aus jeep forum in design and kept us upto date with pics and video on Uneek4x4 face book page!.

Re: WK2 Bullbar spotted in Sydney

Looking at the Uneek drawing it certainly gets rid of the air dam. I think we need a photo to see if it actually protects what's behind.

Have a look on their face book page, there is a photo of the bar tacked together (no top hoop), there is also a video of the top hoop being rolled and bent.
They are doing a test fit on Tuesday so should be more photos then with it on a GZc
