Reading this thread - just joined forum and unlikely to actually own a Jeep!
Have been searching high and low for reasons why my bright silver Laredo with QF that was ordered in Feb is now unlikely to arrive as promised in May/June from Jeep Brighton.
I ordered and paid a deposit and so far they cant provide me with a date, not this month, next month or anytime for that matter. Nice huh. At least I am not alone I supose...
The response so far has been cryptic and no clear reason why some cars are coming and some are not. This is what I have so far from Jeep officially in n email (I have cut out the middle section and names):
We fully depend of Head Office info about delivery timing.
Sometimes we are not getting outcome we want and in case they shift timing
We can not do much about it... ...if you want refund, please confirm that so I can organise that.
So my options when I called yesterday - find a car or I have to cancel the order. Its ridiculous to sell something you cannot deliver and offer no reasonable explanantion for. I hope this gets lots of press coverage. I read that jeep whats to double sales by 2014 globally and in Australia and I was hoping to be part of that. Fat chance now.
