How keen are you for the ELSD? Just get skid plates and tow hooks added to a STD laredo. It already has the 18" tyres and selec terrain and The CRD gives you the 3.45 rear diff and 220mm axle.

Cool So all you really need to add to the STD spec CRD Laredo is the skid plates. I got them added for about 650 fitted.

As Mendo says I'm pretty sure the CRD diff rationis 3.45 anyhow so you don't get a change in ration with ELSD.

Cheers

Are you sure about that? I thought you get the 3.45 diff ratio only with the ORA-II pack plus a 230mm axle.

Hi Bob I ordered Quadralift for my Laredo but not ORA II. My build sheet shows the 230mm axle and the 3.45 diff. I assume these two options come with the CRD option not the Quadralift. My basis for this is the CRD is rated to tow the 3500kgs and so these would be required just like the HD brakes that also come with the CRD. Maybe someone with a build sheet for a STD CRD Laredo could confirm?

Ben

Re: WK2 DownUnder

How can i get a build sheet to confirm any of this? My car is on a boat somewhere, will the dealer have a full build sheet for me to look at? Or do i need to wait until my car has landed.

If you know the VIN of the vehicle, you can sign up to the site as a Level IV supporter, then you can PM milous and he will give you the build sheet. I don't know if the builder even gets the build sheet and if they do if they give it to you.

Also if you know the VIN you can search for the car on the ship as the VIN is the bill of lading. - more instructions back in the late 60's 70's pages of this thread.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

The ANIARA looks like it has had a status update. Does anyone know what this means?

LINER RELEASE - PORT KEMBLA - 28-11-2011 15:21:09

Also it seems like it has been delayed to 4/12/2011 for landing at Port Kembla.

ffs, so close now

Re: WK2 DownUnder

According to Port Kembla shipping ( http://www.kemblaport.com.au/?page=2&action=movement ) there is no arrival scheduled fo the ANIARA.
I can see it cleared the Panama Canal on the 10th Nov, and was scheduled to berth in Brisbane on the 30th Nov. Tomorrow. Mind you, that info is over a week old
I used http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/shi...MMSI=266282000 and http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/def...205:19:00%20AM

However, that shipping line shows the ANIARA due in Port Kembla on 4th Dec

Re: WK2 DownUnder

I also understand that cars shipped to Port Kembla are then trucked to PRIXCAR at Minto for inspection and customs clearance prior to then being trucked to dealerships. This is where repairs are done to parts damaged during shipping.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Freight shipping does not run to schedules. Schedules are changed all the time to optimise utilisation. Half way across the Pacific a ship might get a call to pick up something in Japan then because of the stacking order they might have to go to Melbourne first etc. If it's on the ship, you will get it... eventually... unless it sinks.
