Im just picturing the look on the dealers face when you give them back the demo with 20,000ks on it

bahahaha, well they gave it to me with 147kms on it, and I've already racked up 550 on the odo. What did they expect? me not to drive it?

Pity that I've gotta fill up with fuel today otherwise I may not make it home lol.

I will probably only put 20bucks in, I should find out more about my car tomorrow. (originally set for Thursday delivery so that I can drive it to Syd on Friday).

But whether it happens or not, thats a different story lol

Dont fill it up, just casually take it back to the dealer and act like you expect them to fill it up, it is their car after all

I am sure it will have a 2012 plate. No way will they have processed it before 3rd Jan, if that is indeed the date they return to work.
Who supplied you with the VIN ?

The dealer (Suttons Rosebery Sydney) sent me a screen shot from their Chrysler Vehicle Management System

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Spoke to the dealer,

according to him, the car has not come off the boat, and the ship has been quarantined by customs. Its funny how I can track the VIN of the car, and according to the VIN, it came off the boat on the 9th. The Aniara has already sailed to Melbourne, and should have docked in Fremantle (Perth) now anyway.

So its all bs, but there's really no point in calling him on it.

I personally have given up caring. The Car will come soon, I'm going back to Perth on the 23rd of December anyway (next Friday), until 2nd of Jan, so it'll be sitting in my Garage doing nothing anyway.

I am using their car, like it ain't no thang. I'm filling up with $50 of fuel at a time. Either way, I'm racking up kms on their car, and not mine, (and I'm not paying for it), so not really a big issue.

Reality is that until the car doesn't come onto the lot, I can't really do much about it (and neither can the dealer). I also cannot decide on any other car, driving this Laredo already has me very happy with the JGC in general, without the toys that mine has.

So yeah, its all become a big old meh. I'm sure he'll let me know when he gets my car.

yer,

just had a chat to NRMA insurance, and set insurance up for the new car.

Was a ridiculously good price, works out to around $1226 for the Overland, considering that I'm 23yrs old, and its a ~$70k car. Its a very good price.

They've also provided me with a "baileys cover note" (spelling?) that covers my rental from the dealer (at no extra charge), so if any issues, I don't have to bend over and get rorted by the dealer lawl. It also covers my ass when I go out of state.

'sall good.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Spentan,

Perhaps you could tell the dealer, that as you are going to Perth, and the car is stuck on the ship awaiting Customs clearance, and that ship happens to be in Perth, you could collect the car from there and save them paying to have it trucked to Canberra. LOL
