I wish I knew what is going on with my Jeep.

Exchanged some PMs with Milous and I know that my GC had some transit damage and was fixed up (that's the Java yard) but since then the tracking does not update and Milous only knows what the tracking says.

There is a possibility that just the tracking does not update but the car is actually moving so I will wait another day and then check on the "Endurance". If I can't see it on the ships manifest I will have to try and kick the dealer into action. The dealer has the same non-updating tracking info and getting him to actually do something more than just repeat what I already know will be the big challenge.

It would help me if you can let me know once your car appears on the ships manifest so I know that they have been loaded.

Thanks
Peter
The Endurance has docked in Baltimore. However it is moored at the Dundalk Terminal, probably unloading BMWs it picked up from Europe where it has just been. Hopefully, it will come over later to the Fairfield Terminal (Curtis Bay) to pick up our jeeps. The Florida Highway is now at the Fairfield Terminal but it is destined for the Arabian Gulf.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Hi folks,

I feel particularly sorry for all of you waiting for your new GC's to arrive.
I picked up my Laredo on Friday. I guess I was fortunate that when I went looking at cars 3 weeks ago, the local dealer had late 2011 stock in his yard.
I was about to put a deposit down on a new Hyundai Santa Fe Highlander but decided to stop in at the Jeep dealer for a look. Needless to say , I was blown away by the style, quality and value of the GC. And so quiet on the road!
Mine came with Quadra Lift, factory leather, and the chrome style pack.
Bright Silver. Added the tow bar.
As much as I like the diesel, I chose to go with the petrol V6. I'd calculated that, at the fuel price differences this month, I'd have to drive over 250,000 kms to make up for the extra $5,000 for the oil burner. That doesn't include the extra costs of servicing.
Had it tinted and paint sealed today (aftermarket), and it looks awesome.
Been checking out the prices for the chrome fog light bezels. Shipping's a killer from the US isn't it?.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Looks like the ENDURANCE left Baltimore this afternoon.
If you go here https://att.2wglobal.com/gstattweb/o...uickSearchPage input your VIN in the CARGO ID: field, it will tell you if your car is on that ship.

It didn't work for me so I guess mine didn't make it. Did yours get on?

Re: WK2 DownUnder

I found my car on it. However, found out today that it is going to someone else due to the wrong interior stuffup by the dealer. I now have a new Order number to track.
It seems strange that your car did not make the shipment. Sure you put the vin nr. in? i.e. try this number as it WAS mine. 1c4rjfgm2cc228164

I can get your VIN to work but not mine so I guess I've been left at the dock. It could be that they booked my car to Sydney where my dealer is. In NSW, the Endurance goes only to Port Kembla. So I may have to wait for a Sydney run. Just wishful thinking. I sure hope it's going back to the feared Java Yard.

I wonder if pwyss got his Jeep onto the Endurance. I hope so. If not, it might be time for pwyss to demand a new vehicle be orderred or the deposit back. Why should he have to accept a damaged and delayed vehicle.

Nope, not on the Endurance. Just called dealer but the sales guy has his day off. Sent him an email instead and will follow up with a call tomorrow.

If I could walk into another dealer and get a GC immediately I would not hesitate to do so but now walking away means just another 6 months wait.

Btw it's not delayed yet as delivery according to contract is 10/03 also this looks not very likely at this stage.

And as a second comment, my GC is going to Sydney as well and has destination Port Kembla so your thinking about waiting for a Sydney run may just be wishful thinking....

Re: WK2 DownUnder

BobT, there is NO SYDNEY Run. Cars for NSW all go to Port Kembla. From there, they go to Prixcars at Minto for Customs and Compliance plate fitting, before then being trucked to the dealers. The only thing I can think of, is that the ship was full, and that is the reason your's missed out.
Now that I got my new Order number, and Milous is now tracking, I am at the D1 stage. That is, scheduled for build. My guess is that I will now get delivery late June, providing they have not stuffed up again .
Very sad to see my original build on the high seas and now going to someone else. Maybe it is unsold if anyone interested. It is Overland Deep Cherry Red, with Black interior.
