Thanks for that allypally. It seems the boat people have less trouble than we do.

Cherry Red with black, that is hot!!! Luckily my wife didn't see that combo otherwise I wouldn't have gotten my green.

This is how my day started ....
I'm due to pick up my 2012 GC 3.0 Diesel tomorrow ... excited? ... I WAS!

First phone call i received this morning was .... Sorry we forgot to install you reversing camera ! .. ok i can live with it till my first service.

Second phone call i received was ... Sorry we forgot to order your Tow package ! .. WTF !

Third phone call i received was .... we don't know how to tell you is .. but the Nudge Bar for the GC doesn't FIT the new 2012 model ... so we can't install you HID Spot Lights and UHF aerial ...

My response ..... #$%#@ &*%$ &^%$# *&^%$ #%@!$%^ (*&^% *&^%^& $#%@ *&&^%& (*&^ ..... SEE YOU IN THE MORNING!

how can one guy be SO unlucky ..

At least you got the car you ordered.... But I do sympathise. Sounds like the nudgebar may have used those no longer there bolt holes used for the former hooks. Anyway, in NT, shouldnt you be getting a Croc Bar?

Oh was lucky enough to get the tyres changed for Yokohama Geolander ATS AT's ... i negotiated that with the car.

Yeah we need Croc bars here, lol .... but it's a 650 klm return trip to keep going to Darwin to get what should be fitted ... fitted ... they had since October 2011 to get this crap organised

Sounds like Kerry's in Darwin - i had a few experiences with our Patrol at the Nissan end of the dealership that I was most unhappy with.
Your situation isn't due to luck - it reflects the quality of people employed there, and their attitude to customer relations.

If you had it all in writing, I would make them pay for your out of pocket costs. Tell them that you will take it further if they do not come to the party. Very poor form from your dealer. The front bar, I can understand as they changed models, but the rest is a joke.

On the Jeep Facebook page, I'm trying the subtle sledgehammer approach. Each time their marketing department put up a comment like "It's Friday, what's on your mind", a few of us drop in comments like, "Wondering how Jeep are going to solve the missing Recovery Hook issue with my soon to arrive 2012 WK2". Keep the pressure on every chance we get as not enough people seem to be raising this as an issue.
Classic one today about if they made a gold version of a GC for Dubai, what accessories would we suggest? Someone got in before me a suggested a camel recovery hook, but there is other's also:-)

Ordered 2nd Nov 2011 - Arrived 30th March 2012, GC Laredo 3.0L Deisel, Stone White with Towbar, Roof Bars, Thule Roof Basket and Darkest Legal Tint. Front Recovery hook installed 5th June:thumbsup:
Rockrails and skid plates installed 2nd Sept. Long Range Fuel tank fitted 9th Sept. Bullbar, lift kit & new tyres? Who knows......
