Only if it was a cancelled order, and the car is already on a boat. Ask the dealer for the VIN and let us know. We can confirm it for you.

There is always the chance that they have allocated you someone else's cancelled vehicle that is already on its way. However, the usual case is that the vehicle has not yet been built in which case you are looking at 5 to 7 months. My dealer quoted me 2 months as well until I signed. There are always "unfortunate delays" after you sign.

+1 to Bob's comment i'd say 4-5 months is realistic. I ordered mine with similar spec on 30 August delivered 17 Dec but NSW compliance is a lot longer - up to 4 weeks. QLD is 4 -5 business days.

It will be a cancelled order, or prepare for disappointment. I was quoted August at the earliest last week if I get another Overland CRD for myself.
Did the dealer tell you about the Tow Hooks ?
I would be interested to know if they are trying to minimize claims by telling buyers before they order.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

First time post. Have watched all the discussions with equal tinge of amusement, frustration and almost sadness (Although those emotions in regard to a car make me think I'm a bit full of myself.)
My car arrived in CBR today!!!!(Yay). Ordered 2nd Aug - Overland, CRD, Off-Road.
Unfortunately will be away for a few days, but I guess that will make returning to town a bonus.
Have had "toys" for it sitting in the garage for a couple of months.....at least they'll have somewhere to go. Still not sure what to do with the left hand drive front slush mats I ordered from the US in a red wine fog.....
Will update once I see the car in person.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

All Oz models come with HIDs Laredo too - nothing to upgrade!

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Wow i should really look closer at my car haha.

what about DRLs and foggies. I dont like the amber/incandescent running lights. Are they the same spec as US?

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Believe they are the same and there is a list here in the main wk2 forums with matching LED replacements for the different lights.
However there have been issues reported with the LED replacements for the running lights so better do the research before ordering.

Btw I have never had the need for fog lights in Oz but agree that the white LED running lights would look much better on our cars.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Anybody changed the DRL on the CRD? What is that access like, I have read the threads on the site but was wondering if the CRD made it easier or harder.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

I removed the air filter box and inlet snorkel to get to the LHS globe. The right was easy. Just turn and pull.
I did my DRL's with LED and they are now not working. Worked for a couple of days, then started flickering. Changed them back tot he OEM globe and the DRL's no longer work. I have checked all the fuses, but nothing. The DRL's still work with the headlights (but in their dull setting), but not as DRL's when the car is running. I have no idea what is wrong or what caused it.
A word of advice is that many LED's will not work in DRL's because they overheat. You may be best trying to get whiter halogen globes rather than LEDs.
