Re: WK2 DownUnder

Glenn, firstly you need to get an Order number from your dealer. It starts with "╦".
Once you have that, you become a contributing member of the Forum, and you can then request a Tracking. Once the car has been assembled, you can also obtain a Build Sheet, which will also display your VIN.

Thank you Allypally. I just have the contract right now so I'll contact the dealer tomorrow. I just noted I'm getting charged for White Clearcoat. Is this normal. I thought only metallics attracted an extra charge?

Re: WK2 DownUnder

In the US, all paints are the same price. There is no such thing as Premium Paint. It is just another Jeep Aust ripoff.

It's not just Jeep, all of the prestige manufacturers, and a lot of the imported brands pull this rort. Can't comment on Holden, Ford or any of the Korean makes though, never looked at them.

Mine is saddle with black trim.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

In Aus Metallic is $450 extra.

Dunno if you guys remember, but a few weeks ago i said my EVIC decided to randomly go into the tire pressure monitoring screen. It did it again, i was in the speed one, and pressed back and it went into TPM screen. What is weird is that i have a Laredo, that doesnt even have TPM, so i wonder what else is accessible on the EVIC

I understood that the Laredo has the base TPMS system that simply advises by a telltale light that comes on when pressure is low.
It probably shares the software that still provides the screen for the full TPMS.

Yeah apparently there is a light for low pressure, but the thing is, you cant actually get into the TPMS if you want to, you have to wait for it to screw up lol, like it isnt in the EVIC menu

I'm based in Sydney, and hope to be ordering a CRD Laredo in a couple of weeks time. I'm told that the current wait is 4months!

Anyway, planning for a True Blue or Maximum Steel in colour. Extras will include Offroad Adventure pack with the rear ELSD, Tow pack, Mopar Rock Rails, darkest legal window tint and a cargo barrier. Will also try to do a bargain with the dealer to swap the Kumho tyres with Cooper Discoverer AT3 in the same size. I did something similar with my previous car, a Holden Jackaroo Monterey, where the dealer swapped the 5 standard Goodyear Wranglers for BFG AT for $500 or so.

Further down the track will be an ARB bullbar (now in development) with winch, a Murchison suspension upgrade, hopefully a snorkel, and a VMS4x4 Offroad navigation pack. Larger fuel tanks might also be on the cards if and when they become available.

So obviously cant show you anything yet, but will keep you posted.

Cheers all!
Well I ordered my Overland CRD in December, and it's expected in May/June. Have been using the time to try and track down what options are out for the new WK2 and not found many.

Like you I plan on having the front bar (with winch) and snorkel, also rear wheel holder so a water bladder and extra battery can go in the hole (not sure if water and battery together are a good idea?), roof rack with tent. In short something that can me anywhere in comfort!

Now! Who's got some links on WK2 extras?

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Dont forget the Overland has the Adaptive Cruise Control, with the sensor located right where a winch might go. You may find you have a problem in that area.
Most of the December orders are already on a ship only a few days away from Brisbane. If you have been told May/June delivery, there is something not right.
I see you have not decided to take up the tracking offer, which would tell you exactly where the car is upto.

My December order only went to D1 a couple of weeks ago, expected to land in Aus late April. You're not alone

when i was in the dealer checking on my order last year there was a guy with 2011 overland who fitted an ECB bar to the vehicle. The dealer said they just disabled ACC. i guess its a trade off....
