Re: WK2 DownUnder

You can disable the ACC in the EVIC, but it is such a great feature.

Not wanting to dampen your arrival party, but I suspect you would be extremely lucky to get a car delivered in April if it has not already left the assembly line.
They dont appear to have built any RHD JGC's since January.
If you look at the past trends, the car generally
sits in the Jefferson yards for 3-4 weeks,
spends a week on a train
spends at least a week being shunted around at Curtis Bay
spends 4 weeks at sea
spends 2-3 weeks in customs and quarantine.
Looks more like a June Delivery. Your dealer needs a reality check.
I am in the same situation, and I have been in D1 since end Jan.

Hey Guys,
I'm told the next production run of RHD's is April. My car therefore is still in the ground!!!

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Thanks Allypally - but I only said land in Aus in April, I wasn't expecting delivery although if Glenn is correct and it's not getting built until April, then it will be June at least anyway.

I'm looking at the govt auctions tomorrow anyway, we can't survive until May with only one car, let alone June...

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Interesting to see in the tracking thread that I have an estimated delivery date (24/4) while others with an earlier D1 date don't have one... Hmmm.

Hi guys,

Yes agree with the time frames as much as they are completely frustrating. We ordered our first WK2 Overland at the start of August, vehicle arrived at dock on 2nd Feb, was held in quarantine for 3 weeks (seeds in the Tyres???), now has been stuck at PrixCar since, am told there is a 3 week backlog!

This is now 7 months and counting and I still don't have a delivery date. We ordered a 2nd WK2 from a cancelled order in January, this arrived on a boat mid Feb and is probably going to be delivered before the first one.

So you can guess how disappointed we are that our long weekend trip won't be happening.
I think the Jeep is a great lesson in patience, anyway best of luck.

I have designed tooling for mass volume production lines and would be very very suprised if what you are saying isn't true. As all exterior, engine and drivetrain etc are standard on a LHD and RHD, it's just the matter of installing the different dash, seats and wiring? Due to the Australian and UK markets being as strong as they would seem, logic would have a parralel flow line at the very least for interior fitout. I'd be very suprised if there was a specific shutdown and tooling change to build RHD's, but according to the dealer, looks like mines gonna be a April build, due here late June Thats a six week leadtime, just to get a production slot.
