Don't think that's it enforcer

On both occasions it happened to me, it was a bright, sunny day and unobstructed view of the sky. The first time I was driving down the m2. The second time when I left work, it was tracking correctly for the first 800 meters, then I turned right instead of the left turn it wanted to guide me to. I then turned left (north) and it suddenly showed me in Canada Bay heading east. If it was dead reckoning, it wouldn't jump 10 km or so away and show a different direction, and the direction should be constant, not changing. I think it must be a software or hardware glitch. Having said that, it has been working perfectly ever since, and I haven't been able to replicate the error.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

No tall buildings here. One under cover car park.
I was parked in an open car park when mine went haywire.
Wounder how well dead reckoning would work in a 6km decline 1km underground?

PS have not taken the jeep under ground. It is not going there.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Does the GPS show the number of Sats it is receiving and the strength of each signal?

I read the design mod may come into affect for the Australian market on vehicles manufactured from April.
PS, with a 3rd Qtr delivery, can I ask when you signed up for yours and if you have an order number yet.

Cheers.
Hey Glenn,

I only ordered on March 15. I haven't got an order number yet, however I haven't really chased one either. I have an ETA of 31 July. Ordered a Laredo CRD. Even managed to score 2 years free servicing & 3 years free extended warranty (without having to get it serviced at that dealer) etc for $52k.

Will update the thread when I get an order number.

TAMERLANE has left Melbourne, was only there about 24 hours, and now is on way to Fremantle, no more stops.

Due in this Sat, 7pm, 1 day late, I may go down to the south mole and take a photo as it comes into the port, but knowing my luck, it'll be stuck out in Gage Roads waiting for a berth.

Can't wait, soooo close now after ordering late Nov..

Looks like we might also be on the same boat in a couple of months. You did better than me on the service front. Tried to get tints without success so far! Where are you located?

And so is BobT who is on watch at Port Kembla see http://www.jeepgarage.org/showthread...=24379&page=32

I spoke to my dealer the other day and he said he expects to receive it Monday 2 Apr and if all goes well I should get it Thursday but I have that dreaded feeling that neither will occur but all I can do is hope I have it for the 4 day easter break.

I'll be p.o'd if it just sits in the dealers yard over that easter break.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Received this from my dealer today

Good Morning,

As most of you are aware many Grand Cherokees have not been released from Prixcar.

This is due to a re-flash requirement (system update) and Quarantine issues.

The list of your affected cars is below.

This is a safety requirement issued by Chrysler Australia.

More information to follow on Monday.

We appreciate your co-operation and we will endeavor to ensure the process is completed as quickly as possible.

Kind Regards

Chrysler, Jeep & Dodge Australia
(03) 9238 2600

Attached a list of 12 cars with order numbers, names and location (most listed as Vehicle Prep Centre (VPC)).

So as soon as our vehicles are "safe" we will get them
