PS. Can't wait to update my avitar as well, but can't cheat with someone elses pic.
Well later that day I got a call from the dealer stating the car would ready anytime after Tuesday arvo. She asked when or what day I would like to pick it up. I replied Tuesday arvo. Am dying for this Easter break to be over so I can return to work on Tueday and leave early to collect it and actually pay for it

I wouldn't be concerned, we were told it would be 5-6 months.

I ordered in the earlier part of Nov 2011 and told I would receive it end of April. Instead I pick it up tomorrow. 3 weeks earlier.

And it would have been earlier if there wasn't the quarantine or other issues that delayed the release of all vehicles from that vessel to the dealers.

It goes both ways. I ordered my Overland CRD early Sept and can hopefully pick it up this week. But only because I accepted a different car than originally ordered otherwise I would have to wait another 6 weeks...

16-18 wks seem to be the average waiting time for Overland...
In my case : order placed - last week Nov 2011, Delivery hopefully next week
Might have got it delivered ~2 weeks earlier if not for the extra delay at quarantine.
But would be worth the wait

Re: WK2 DownUnder

If they told you 3 mths, there must have been a car already scheduled for a build but not assigned to anyone.
Generally speaking, the wait is 5-6 mths.

I really hope you are wrong, but something tells me you are more likely correct. I've heard dealers are now quoting 4-5 months on an Overland whereas last month I was assured a 3 month wait.

Satnav showed me at Silverwater heading east through Canada Bay cross the Parramatta River, ( bonus, I didn't realise the overland was amphibious!) up through Ryde and finish at Lane Cove. It wasn't following any roads, just heading cross country.

Both times it has gone haywire started in the correct location. I've punched in an address to go to and when I have detoured from the planned route, it hasn't rerouted, but shown me elsewhere. It can't be poor satellite signal, both occasions agave been bright sunlight and cloudless and even if it was a poor satellite signal, that wouldn't account for what it is doing. I thought initially it must be case of recalibrating to Australia from the USA, but it has been four days now and it was working fine yesterday and this morning.

Anyone else had a similar problem?

It also classes Kellyville and Castle Hill as Baulkham Hills for some strange reason, even though it lists the post codes for each suburb correctly

Took the jeep in today for the 1000km service and mentioned the problem to the service guys. Apparently it is a common problem on the overlands as the dash padding affects the signal. They repositioned the aerial and it is now consistently seeing 5-6 satellites instead of 0-2 satellites. Satellite acquisition is a lot quicker too.

I thought that is a little high. Allan, is it really taking your second order 5-6 months when you worked out you had the wrong interior on the first one?

I only waited 3.5 months late last year. It was a special build Laredo with Q-lift. The quarantine issues and Sydney Prix cars have added to the wait but 6 months is a very long time.

There may be a increase delivery times in June July when I believe the Factory goes through the summer shut down when they move from MY2012 to MY2013. Milous might be able to shed some more light on this.
