The reversing camera came standard but they talked me into reversing sensors a couple of days before I picked up the car.

I don't know which section you are referring to.
But US RON and AUS are different and the fuel is different.

Why would they give a brand new vehicle an oil change?

What's the story with the reversing camera? All the marketing blurb says it's standard. But on my sales contract it's shown as a no-cost accessory. I thought that's curious but I didnt bother asking the dealer about it.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Picked ours up today.
First Laredo Ive seen with the factory 'roof. Very happy with it. Tho' its not the large panoramic of the Limited, its still a good size and nice and forward (over our heads). Went for a charcoal (after market) leather with perforated leather in the middle.
Its Grand!

I'm only guessing here but if the engine was built with a running-in oil, it is probably a good idea to change it as soon as possible. These oils do not have the right assitives for normal use. The engine would have had a test run at the factory. The car would have run in and out of various yard before it got to the dealer. I didn't think to check how many hours the engine had up when I got. A couple of hours would probably be sufficient for the running-in oil.

There is no special break-in oil used, it does not need to be changed right away. I would recommend first oil change at 3000km (harsher conditions) to 5000km (lighter conditions).

Re: WK2 DownUnder

BobT I would say your dealer has spun you a load of bullshit. Seems they are regularly doing this to people. Can't dazzle us with their brilliance, so they baffle us with their bullshit.

P.S I got my sharkfin from Visualgarage. Delivered in 10 days and was $91 painted. Still looks great

I plan to keep it 10 years. (I had my old WJ for 7 1/2).
