Sounds like Bill Shorten " I agree with everything the PM said in her earlier statement, I havent heard the statement but she's the PM therefore she must be right"

I've got Trailer Sway Dampening on my build sheet. Does this relate to the pushbutton on the centre console "Tow/Haul". I note a lot of 2012's that I have seen have this button blanked out, even on the Overlands but believe its an electronic dampener that senses yaw when towing.

My understanding is that the "tow haul" feature is only on the petrol versions that run a different transmission to the diesels. It alters the shift protocol and in the WH series with the 5.7 Hemi it locked out fifth gear. Even with my diesel WH models,(I have owned two) I manually selected 4th gear when towing our large 2500KG caravan. The new WK2 diesel has a lot more low down torque and tows the van happily in drive, and consequently spends most of the time in fifth.

Roll on the new ZF 8 speed gear box

The Tow button was only on the Hemi 2011 and would use the other 2nd gear. They changed the software on all the Hemi's late last year to enable the gear permanently meaning they are now a 6sp. This renders the Tow button redundant on the 2011 models. The v6, CRD and SRT8 all use the same gearbox, the hemi is different.

Mid 2011 TSB updated the transmision so we now get all 6 gears!



Still like the w5a580 trans better. HEMI+w5a580=awesome

Thats awesome. I'm going for a turbo remap map as soon as mine arrives and see how that goes. Might then look at reducing back pressure on the exhaust system.

Just beware that the maximum torque input capacity of the transmission is only rated to 580Nm.

However I'd love to do this too. I'm looking at a milder chipping such as this one ... http://www.dpchip.com/home/australia-list/aus-jeep/

I was thinking more towards power whilst rolling rather than a standing start, less torsion? Turbo waste gate closed upwards of 1000RPM?

$1500 for that one compared to $350 delivered to AUS for the Racechip one..

Racechip also have a lesser one (616nm and 225kw) for $223 delivered - Seriously thinking this one! It also sounds like you can dial these down if that is too much, from the description..
