Re: WK2 DownUnder

"Partae" this arvo...a few drinks with the girls and boys. 10 guys stood around my Jeep admiring it passing comments how awesome the "presence is on the road"..."incredible value"...."why would you buy an ML"....took a car load around the block to demonstrate the incredible torque of the CRD before the second beer......makes you kinda proud to own such a machine....and right on cue, no noise from the AC that cemented the illusion.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

NEED HELP . Guys with a genuine MOPAR 3.5T towbar (CRD owners?), can you please give me the part number for the removable Mopar tow hitch. Mine got removed when it was damaged and I urgently need the part number. I can see the part number on the bar itself, but need the number off the label on the tongue. Cheers for any help.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

My hitch has the Part Nr. K8220WKTB
However, I suspect that is the towbar package Nr. as on the Mopar site the Towbar package is part Nr. XAU 008220WKTB

Why dont you enquire with a Jeep Club up your way? Most clubs run training courses. They will be Jeep owners too so you could end up with some useful contacts.

Check out landcruisermountainpark.com.au. Not sure if it's any good but I'd be keen to go there one day.

Yep, Cheers for that. Best Bars very helpful . Got the actual tow hitch number (5-PV0T) from Sean at BestBars after quoting AllyPally's number, however the local Jeep spares around town are not able to purchase it through Chrysler unless it comes attached to the rest of the towbar ($800). Am on the hunt therefore for a HR hitch that I believe has to be slightly trimmed.

That's ridiculous. Glad I went with the HR towbar.

If anyone has been considering a LockPick, take a look at the AllGig. Installed one today and its great. I want to add screens in the back at some point (if I spend any more before our holiday the gf will kill me) and it looks like it will be very simple. Can't speak to the address entry while driving as I don't have nav. Only thing is with my radio to turn on the reverse camera in D you have to press the power button, wait a second and press again, so it turns off then on again. This means there's a delay while the Bluetooth or USB audio reconnects. Not a big deal though.

Cant Best Bars sell you there own branded hitch, independently of Jeep?

Studgun ... Did the rear recovery hook get refitted with the HR towbar? Just asking as I'm about to buy a towbar and was going the Mopar so I can refit the recovery hook, but I would go the HR towbar if I know that the hook can be refitted.

That seems extremely odd. What if someone gets their hitch stolen? They are not exactly steal proof, as only connected by a pin.
Surely they are not that stupid as to think a hitch would not require replacing by itself?
Ohhhhhh Hang on. We are talking about Jeep Aust here!
