pretty good if you can get away with only loosing $5K in the 1st year - but I know these cars have been on there for quite some time and most people are still buying new as the price gap is not significant enough.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

That's right. Once you add stamp duty ontop of the private sale vehicles, the price gap is negligible.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

hadn't checked the website pricing before but yeah i got $80,766 for Vic/metallic. when talking to dealers driveaway for CRDs has always been Laredo/Limited/Overland $56k/$66k/$76k (roughly). so this does seem out of whack. has it changed recently or has it always been "wrong"?

Down the bottom is shows "DISCLAIMER: All information is current as at 1st July 2011".. but just seems very odd. I never checked if before but have always been told RRP driveway is around the $76-77K level as you mentioned

Just remember the government gets 33 of every dollar you spend over $59,133 in luxury car tax so your options and accessories had better be worth it.

If things were equal we would always support the local bloke but they aren't by a long shot and we are not charities. If you are mechanically handy or your mate is a mechanic, stay away from the dealers. They time their mechanics. If they don't have the time to do it right, too bad for you. Unfortunately tow bars for Australian Jeeps are specially made in NZ and can be bought only through dealers but you can fit it yourself. Alternatively you can get a Hayman-Reese dealer to fit one of their bars.
Hi Bob, can you confirm that hayman reese does a tow bar for the my 14 jeeps inc the SRT ?
Cheers Beggsy

They make one for MY13. As long as the rear of the chassis hasn't changed (which it shouldn't have) it should fit the MY14.
