yeah, I'm interested to know which model you have?

When I listened to it in the test drive (of the Limited with the Lux Group II), I found it to be oodles better than my HSV Bose System (Bose are pretty average anyway).

OMG I'm getting a bit annoyed how my dealer hasn't called me yet, might give him a call tomorrow, see if he's got some info for me.

Pricewise, I ended up paying about 30k changeover from my HSV Grange (2008 WM 6.2L). So it worked out quite well, cos Redbook is saying between 42-47 for a trade-in price. If I wanna feel good I can say I sold the car for 47 (not 42), but yeah, essentially paid what I thought was full retail on the JGC.

Is it just me, or have the Prices gone up??? DNC is still showing 76 or so for the 5.7 Overland Driveaway (ACT) but on the Jeep website, its showing this (with standard paint, as I think i might be getting the White Gold)

Price Calculation
Vehicle Price1 $69,500.00
Dealer Delivery2 $1,950.00
Government Charges:
Luxury Car Tax $4,195.20
Registration3 $493.00
Compulsory Insurance3 $487.50
Stamp Duty $3,642.00
Drive-Away Price $80,267.70

Re: WK2 DownUnder

I got my CRD for $76400, which I thought was full retail. I am hoping to get the additional 2 years warranty thrown in, but I will not hold my breath. I have been waiting for the NSW State manager to call me and tell me my VIN, as I think it is poor form that I do not have it yet with only 5 weeks until estimate delivery. I feel they are holding a lot of orders and will allocate them as they see fit. I am hoping that the squeeky wheel will get the CRD Overland in Mineral Grey first....
I am sure the Luxury Group and Overland get the Alpine upgraded Speakers and the 731N Head unit, so it should be better sounding than the stock system.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Hello all.

My purchase of a White Laredo came about sooner than I thought as I managed to get out of a lease on a Pajero pretty well and earlier than expected and thought I'd share a few thoughts.

Have always bought the Jap stuff but have been researching this new Jeep for some time. Have done 2000k's and am overjoyed with this Detroit built Jeep. Fit and finish is excellent, level of spec on the entry level Laredo makes it great value for money and the engine is a corker.

Bought it from Jeep at Holland Park and had to pay full stick as stock was short, and had a choice of white or black. (Pajero was black and didn't want to do that again).

Paid a $500 deposit on a Thursday afternoon, finance on a lease approved that afternoon and took delivery on Saturday morning.

It's and absolute joy to drive; quiet, refined and powerful. Putting the boot into the Pentastar results in fellow motorists cringing, the fuel gauge going down at a great rate of knots and your own personal hole in the ozone layer ripping open above your head.

Stereo even in the Laredo I think sounds fantastic and the Uconnect voice recognition gear works a treat.

Have ordered MOPAR rubber matts for front and back and cargo bay off EBAY as they are not available as a part in OZ yet. Pretty reasonable price actually, even with the shipping costs. Who knows what aftermarket stuff is going to become available in Australia, they don't seem to be able to make enough of these vehicles and ours is a very small market.

Anyways, it's good to read all of the posts both relevant to Australia and from the Yanks.

Can't take the smile off my face!

If it makes you feel any better we haven't heard jack either No VIN/VON or anything. We also had to pay for the extended warranty, they wanted $3k but we settled on $2K.

Ordered 18th March expected july sometime but not holding my breath......

Our deal was/is:

Mineral Grey Overland HEMI
2 year extended warranty
towbar pack
front/rear and cargo slush mats
tinted front windows to match
$74500

Re: WK2 DownUnder

I thought I would go and pay the dealer a visit and protest the lack of VIN. He said he would take it up with the state manager, so hopefully I will see some action.
I also got given the new brochure with the inclusion of the CRD motor.
Interesting fact that the CRD's ONLY will come with the Black Olive Wood, not the Medium Olive Bur Wood....YIPPIE
They also state that Black is late availability due to Japan disaster & Blackberry Pearl and Brilliant Black are only a short production run due to Japan.

Hope you did not make my mistake with the US floor mats.

The cutout for the foot rest is in the left mat

Have not got my WK yet to test fit but can see some trimming needed.
Mine are the weathertech moulded ones.

Glad to see you enjoying your new WK. (making us all jealous)
See the difference from the US reports. Think they have been spoilt with V8's for too long. Aussies are reporting the pentistar as having plenty of power. The Hemi should be a blast.

Now we have Two reports on the 431n they contradict each other.
