Good idea!
I personally haven't ordered one, it seems nuts but I'm tossing up between a 5.7 or diesel Overland, or an SRT, or only God knows! Lol
If it's going to be your daily vehicle and assuming your gas prices are high as ours, I would jump at the diesel. Hopefully we will have that option with MY2013 in Canada.

Well my Mineral Grey Overland CRD was ordered on Friday 13th May, with an ETA of mid to end July.
There are several Overland Hemi in stock, try Mosman Jeep as they had a black one sitting on the floor, ask for Josh. The order I signed was for Hemi pricing, but they said the CRD may be a $3500 premium on the Hemi, which mak kill the deal as that is a total ripoff.
I was also told the SRT will not be seen here this year if at all as apparently they will not be making it in right hook.

Thanks Marlin for getting the sticky done.
Hope we can get a collaborated effort here since the dealers all have their own ideas.
Enough responses may give Milous something to work with.
Better if someone has a VIN.

First post, I so wanted it to be showing off my new ride.:(

Ordered a Laredo back in March. Delivery was supposed to be last Friday. It never turned up due to an "ordering mishap"
That sucks, almost see it then rip your heart out.

Ordered a Laredo 3.6 with Quadralift on 6th February. ETA was late April to early May. Now the dealer cannot give any ETA at all.
Different people from the dealership and a NSW Jeep manager has promised to give me more information over the last two weeks but so far I haven't got any.

I'd LOVE for Milous to chime in here if he can..... there seems to be much confusion as to the Overlands... with reports of none coming, some coming, some coming but not to full spec (lacking collision avoidance etc).

Jeep Oz has confirmed the SRT8 for availability mid 2012. Under 90k, it better be HEAPS under 90k IMO, any more than 80 is profiteering I reckon (compared to an Overland).

I posted these numbers in early April:

Laredo: 357
Limited: 412
Overland: 81

Total: 850 (~400 delivered so far, another 100 enroute, the rest awaiting shipment or scheduled for build).

Currently I show:

Laredo: 657
Limited: 680
Overland: 131

Total: 1468

As shown, not very many Overlands are heading to Aussie, not sure why. The RHD builds are mixed in with all of the other builds, they are not necessarily run in batches.

I show several Overlands being built last week, as recently as Friday 5/13 (w/QL).

Does anyone who has ordered have a VIN?

You can bet that the SRT will be mid $90k's, as the Overland is $76k.
If you are getting nowhere with your dealer, call up Jeep Australia and find out from them, as it is unacceptable for them to not give you information about a delivery that is now over a month late. I know that the Jap sunami has stopped production of several colours, but there is still a supply of them. There is also a MUA wharf strike that is delaying many cars that are waiting on ships.
My dealer was certain that the next boat is expected early June and this will have the first Diesels here. He also said there was going to be a lot of cars on this boat for the orders that have been placed for the past few months.
As I mentioend in another thread, my dealer was delivering 3 Overlands on Friday, but they were all March 2011 builds.
Make sure you tell dealers that you have access to a forum of other owners/purchasers of Jeep products and you can smell BS. The truth hurts sometimes, but the lies can be found out very quickly. I would rather know the truth than to lose faith in my dealer because he lied.

I am talking about drive away pricing. Once you add on road costs, it will bump it to the over $90k class, which IMHO is still good value.

Welcome aboard.
List is growing.

Just called Chrysler customer care, got an answering machine waiting for a call back.

I ordered a Limited with QL & Sunroof back in mid - late February in dark charcoal.

Talked to the dealer start of April and was told that that it would go into production that month. Then talked to them a few weeks ago and apprently it didn't and it won't be in into production til next month. Something to do with the Quadra Lift option apparently. Was told that ETA is now August.

I am getting out of a 2007 Ford Territory Turbo Ghia, never owned a Jeep, but owned many Valiants in my younger years. I have always considered myself a Chrysler Man, but their recent cars have been rubbish.

#24 ·
Managed to speak with Chrysler this afternoon.
the lady I spoke too said she would look into it.
And is aware of jeep garage and now this thread.

I would like to invite Chrysler Australia to join us and show their commitment to their product and liaise with us.

Ordered a Mineral Grey Overland on 18/3/2011 and was told sometime in July but possibly late June.
That was after being told by another dealer that they could get me a Bright Silver Overland delivered in April....... guaranteed but when I went in to pay the deposit, it had suddenly disappeared and they couldn't get me one until July and I would have to pay full retail :(

OzTJ Think the dealers will tell you anything to get you in the door.

The first dealer I saw kept me busy all Saturday morning.
They knew I was from Kalgoorlie 600km from Perth.
Left there at 1130 then found all the dealers close at 12 in Perth.

36 to 40 days on the ship alone, plus dock loading unloading customs and road transport.
5 factory to dock
5 dock waiting for ship and loading
40 ship
1 unload
10 customs
2 jeeps yard
5 to dealer
68 days as a guesstimation
If they are built by 1st June
That's about 7th August

Milous we need you, if you can find when the next production run for Oz

I am hoping we will see the new MY2012 models as we may just squeeze in to the first run. They are making rigth had cars for EU, so hopefully they will do a decent run.

#31 ·
Think only the UK is RHD the rest of the EU is LHD. Correct me I may be wrong.
South Africa, Japan, Korea RHD, not sure how big their market is.
Would hope ours are 2012 builds but would not hold my breath.

#39 ·
Thanks for the update Milous.
Is there any news on the CRD models in production ?
When will they start making the MY2012 for Oz ?
