Glenn, living in Brisbane, think carefully before you fork out for what are essentially plastic seat covers albeit thick and squishy. Don't you remember driving old holdens in the summer?

Re: WK2 DownUnder

I hear you Bob, but looking for something to protect the Nappa during the week and/or after the beach. The leather cleans up OK with Zaino's but it is perforated and I reckon it will fill up with gunk in no time. (They're ventilated as well so its only a matter of time before the odour starts to sting the eyes and nostrils once the fans running)

Glenn, I remember you asking about the neoprene seatcovers earlier and found this today on another forum. Hope it helps.

Clarkey.

I've just installed a new pair of seat covers from a company called SuperTrim (www.supertrim.com.au) down in Victoria. They use neoprene, similar to the stuff used in wetsuits. It is soft, flexible, hard wearing and very stretchable. My WK2 is the first 2012 Grand Cherokee Overland they've done, so their pattern maker went down to the local dealer to make the pattern. I made sure to tell them I didn't want the covers to interfere with the seat controls or the side air bags in the seat. They were a great company to work with, although I did need to chase them up a few times. The covers are pretty easy to put on, fit snugly and are working great so far. Since I'm only going to use them when I go off-road, I wanted something easy to take on/off, and these seem to fit the bill perfectly. They'll get a proper test when we head down to Coffs Harbour from April 25th till May 4th.Here's a few photos:

Re: WK2 DownUnder

They look pretty good for the money. Am only thinking of the front two.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

They do look really good. I like Clarkey's idea of using them for protection while off-road.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

There is also another company in Sydney, who I've used before for Neoprene Seat Covers in my old Territory and have now ordered a set (front seats only) for my new Bright Silver WK2 MY13 CRD Laredo that I finally had delivered last Friday.....ordered back in mid November........long wait but at this stage very very happy!! Company is: Water proof seatcovers, The Wet Seat, car seat covers

Attached is a picture of a set they have previously itted to a 2012 GC.

Cheers Mick

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Just seen a silver Overland with colour coded wheel arches, sill and lower valances. You would have sworn it was an SRT first glance. Looked really good. If you are on here Mate, any pictures?

Re: WK2 DownUnder

This used to be "THE" general thread for us Aussies. Now look at it. All the "wannabe" MY14 Jeep owners have taken over and none of the regulars post here anymore. Just saying.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

We are all too busy having fun with our cars, not wishing we had them.
We all know how they feel when we were waiting. It is tough, also not knowing if/when and what they are getting.
Buying sight unseen is unnerving.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Something to look at for those suffering withdrawals.

ECB bull bar fitted. One of the hidden benefits is that the bar comes with built in recovery points and also extends to the skid plates if fitted.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

The ECB bar is starting to grow on me. I saw a Mineral Grey GC with a silver hammertone finish and it looked OK too. I think the bars that are colour coded look OK - the chrome is a bit much.
