Re: WK2 DownUnder

You probably need to go to one of the electric battery isolators rather than a solenoid one although the Redard low voltage one as mentioned above might work. I have 150A Projecta "Electronic Isolator" and it works fine. It starts off low around 13V then builds up to around 14V as the auxiliary batteries charge up. It's specs are: cut-out 12.8V, cut-in 13.4V with a 1 minute cut-out delay. That is, the auxiliary will be start being charged until the starting battery is above 13.4V. This is to give the starting battery priority. If the auxiliary falls below 12.8V for over a minute, the isolator will disconnect the auxiliary from the starting battery to save the starting battery. Anyway, it seems to work.

A call to Perth WK 2 owners.

I am interested in a weekend trek to the south, around Warpole, Windy Harbor, Northcliff areas before its gets to warmer.

Or we could get more adventurous with Goldfields.

Had my WK2 for 18 months, and need to get it dirty.

Any takers?

Hi, I'm in Albany but "only" have a monster JK and would be happy to meet up and show you some tracks. I did drive a 2014 SRT last week! For a second "car" tossing up between and SRT and Overland CRD... to totally different Jeeps. Would love a V8 so would be interested in seeing how a 5.7 goes.
Does that count?

Not good at all. I think fitting the hooks would only take an hour for a competent mechanic.

Is your dealer waitara? If so I would have thought our mate there would have been keen. But I'm with you - don't take delivery till everything is perfect.

An update, decided to drop off the tow hooks to the dealer to get them fitted so I could pick it up sooner. Hopefully I'm taking delivery this weekend. No mud flaps, but I could be waiting awhile for those so I'm not going to wait.

While I was there I saw my white CRD Overland sitting in park mode with the rock rails fitted. WOW!!!! I have been smiling all afternoon. It looks unbelievable! I sat in it and the interior was sublime. I'm in such a happy mood this afternoon, I can't wait to take delivery

Hold the phone! Are you saying we have a mate in Waitara? Waitara is closest to me but I've been going to Artarmon. I've always thought of Suttons Waitara as dyed-in-the-wool Holden people masquerading as Chrysler people. Do they really know about Jeeps?

Most of the group buy has gone through Alex at Waitara, with many others recommended to go there.
He was very pro active, and was on the forums for a little while.

He did say he was going to get pics of the tow hooks being fitted.

They have an SRT program there too.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Took a run down the NSW South Coast on the weekend, and found some dirt roads to get down and dirty.

Came across this old bus on the way. Pick the newer model.
