Re: WK2 DownUnder

Finally picked up my GC last week and loving every minute of driving in it.

Ive got the 431 (RB2) media centre in my GC. Im trying to find info on this model of the media centre, but after doing some research Ive had no luck.

Im wondering which is the equivalent US model of my media centre and also will the Chr550 lockpick work on my model? Maybe some of the US guys can shed some light on the subject.

Yea I thought the 430 would be the one as it has similar features to our one.

Do you think a software upgrade is necessary or would our media centres come with the latest software?

Also has anyone figured out how to play avi or mpg on the media centre?

If they play DVD, then you may be able to get them to play an ISO. Could be woorth a crack.

Glad I am locked in with a signed contract.
Is it the luxury car tax that's gone up? Because the rrp of the vehicle is still the same. I agree the driveaway price is certainly different.

Luxury car tax varies from state to state.
I could only see a couple of hundred in the luxury tax.
New retail laws they got to quote rrp as a drive away price.
Carsales has an article about that on their site.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

LCT is a national tax, it is stamp duty and rego/CTP that varies. I do not think it would be anywhere near $5k

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Ok I just heard from my dealer that I should get my overland at the end of august. I can see it via my jeep garage tracking that it hit the water from Detroit on the 24th this month so I assume shipping is around 6 weeks with another 2 for processing. God it's been a long wait.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Here in Victoria according to jeep Aust website LCT $1412.27 for the limited CRD and $1723,57 for the Overlander. These are for the base models of each with no additional options so It could be a lot more depending on what you get. Add on $1700 delivery cost it certainly adds up.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

I got a feeling that LCT was increased by the government without telling anybody. Because if I remember correctly the LCT in SA was around $2000 but now the jeep website says it's over $4000 either there's been a LCT increase or jeep have hidden a price increase through the LCT
