In all honesty rocksfly the vehicle is awesome, comfortable, smooth, frugal on diesel and for me at least faultless (apart from the occasional jeepism I.e climate control or jerky back up cam.

The crap that we put up with from the dealers is unreal I thank my lucky stars that a I bought a demo and didn't have to deal with the incompetence. I would strongly suggest seeing what option you have to get out of the contract with the current dealer and buy through a different dealer.

I honestly don't see the value, performance or wow factor from any other 4wd on the market, it's the price we pay for a few jeepisms I suppose. Head up dude.

Edit: my climate issues have been made "worse" after a service update before that it was faultless and even now is only a mild annoyance on long journeys and the back up cam is not an "issue" as such simply a niggle not enough to affect the safety and convenience of the feature

All good Rocksfly. .

Outstanding '14 CRD Overland - no issues. Coming up to 18,000kms. Would have 6 of them if I could in different colours for each day of the week and on the seventh day, a Summit.

I hope, I really do, that when you eventually take delivery of one, you will have as much enjoyment out of it as we have and do.

To coin the phrase of someone else - 'It is such a satisfying vehicle' It really is, I couldn't have put it better.

All the best.

But not intentionally wrong, as it was listed in U.S. and other market documents as well. Often times features are scheduled for production and then pulled, for a variety of reasons. Last-minute issues may have cropped up, and sometimes there are supplier or materials constraints. In most if not all situations, a pricing adjustment is made in one way or another, so you are never "paying" for a feature you are not getting.

Problem here is Milous Dealers say its there and so does the literature, , yes I read the disclaimers on the back of the brochures BUT you dont see the dealers bringing prospective buyers up to speed with details of what is not correct on the sales docs etc, we are signing up often under somewhat of a false pretence.

Anyway,

I appreciate all the responses and I am going to walk away now and see how long it takes for the dealer to contact me and what vehicle details are forthcomming.

One decision I have made is to have this HiTV aftermarket sat nav struck from the contract along with some other stuff I was misinformed about.

Thanks again

This is true in the U.S. as well. A lot of pre-production CRD models WERE built with this feature (BNK) but never made it to final production. I suspect they were having some sort of issues.

I replied to your post in that packages with the same name (like OFF ROAD AVENTURE GROUP II) can contain different content for different vehicle models or powertrains.

I will have to check and see if I see it on the list for 2015."

So the Australian Jeep Grand Cherokee buyers guide is WRONG and we do not get this feature. Jeep Bleep Bleep!

Probably be another function that gives grief.

Pretty soon Grand Cherokees will have no UConnect system at this rate.

Anything else the dealers/documents are saying we get and we dont.???

What a fiasco, its there in writing for Christ sake.
Ok, that was my understanding too, though initially I thought all petrols in LTD and Overland got it with no ORAII, but it seems you have to order a hemi and ORAII.

Anyway, I'm interested why you are so keen on this feature, I'm not sure when I'd use it....

I'm surprised my dealer got it right... one thing I have noticed is how poorly informed most Jeep salesmen are (I think this may be due to the recent rapid expansion of Jeep dealerships in Oz), which is why places like this are so useful, and why it is so valuable having someone like Milous here....

Saw a dark grey summit at rouse hill shops - not my cup of tea but looked quite good with the chrome

Second vehicle order still unknown

Latest news dealer tells me over the phone Saturday afternoon that all is on track for May delivery. Vehicle is a granite and is built in February. His boss and Jeep Australia assure him of said details.
Asked him how does he know if he does not have a vin again assuring me Jeep as had said it's granite and a feb built on track for may (was meant to be April so I can't understand the overstressing of being on track.)

Latest from Milous e number shows vin vehicle not built and is slotted for black.

It surely is in the lap of the gods.

I still think you are being fed BS from the dealer.
If the car was built in Feb, than you would have it before May.
Ask for the E number, then see what Milous has to say.

Milous has Von and knows the status.... Black yet to be built.
Dealer and his boss have told me jeep Australia told them it is a granite and Feb built..... Yeah I know.
I had to explain to the dealer that the vehicle is not built and that Jeep Australia are telling them wrong But what can I do. Nothing till this vehicle goes into build mode and I get the build sheet...... Then we will see what happens.
