You should make a wager with the dealer. There again, getting them to honour it if they lost would be another farce!

Cheers,
Steve

Reckon they'd square up on their bets? Doubt it.

Put in a complaint with Jeep Aus Saturday and asked them to investigate the Sat Nav aftermarket warranty issues.

On the dial right now to Pauline from Jeep Aus trying to get an update and move the process of finding out where this second order is at.....not holding my breath.

Conversation documented Ref No: supplied and Customer care agent says she will follow it up and be the point of contact from here on. Calling Suttons to ascertain Sat Nav status Jeep Aus have said it could present warranty issues. So its a no brainer really!

Thumbs down HI TV Sat Nav has NO Jeep Warranty thinking of cancelling order

Just contacted Jeep Aust quoted my Complaint ref number.......
questions regarding status of vehicle ordered could not be ascertained. Jeep Australia say they can not check this.
They also said that the HiTv SAT NAV is NOT covered by Jeep warranty.

When I pushed them further for information regarding my second ordered vehicle and the incorrect colour listing, they said ring the dealer they can not provide any info and that the dealer knows more than them.

I advised the dealer knows nothing or what they do know seems to be incorrect when measured against info from the Jeep Garage. Jeep Australia did not want to know about any of it.

I asked quite clearly if the dealer knows nothing and you cant help who do I contact now.....he continued to say call the dealer.

I advised again the dealer is telling me the vehicle was built in Feb and Jeep Garage say its in pre-release, not built yet, who can I contact to sort this out. He replied I dont know.

Thats when I stated I would have to contact a higher power ACCC or the like as Jeep Australia had given me a customer complaint number but were not/or could not do anything about the complaint.

Given the raft of problems this vehicle is presenting with, lack of parts to fix and lack of knowledge by anyone associated with Jeep, constant misinformation and the fact that several folks are pulling their orders or not going ahead with an order, I too am giving serious consideration to cancelling this order.

Yep, I think if I were in your position I'd walk away from the order now. Maybe look for something in stock....

Benn0, I feel I have lost faith in the 'vehicle' itself......direct result of the unprofessional approach taken by Jeep USA to use Jeep Aust (hopeless) customer care as a contact for complaints, who then refer you back to dealers who tell mistruths and really do not know the product.

If you cant get to the truth.......how can you trust the product?

Not only that, but any other small issues with the car (which is bound to happen) will likely compound on your already poor experience. I would look at it as the force telling me "this isn't the car you are looking for..... move along"

Re: WK2 DownUnder

I have read so many of your replies to this problem and only add that you are so correct in what most of you have said
I was a part owner dealer principal of a ford nissan dealership for 18 years and unfortunately do know this happens a lot more than you may think but most people accept the result. and go away
Don't DON'T do that, hang out for an answer that you will accept , because if they (being the company) wait long enough most problems will go away with NO action AT ALL needed from them.
NEVER EVER EVER DEAL with ANY ONE BUT the dealer principal or owner of the dealership BECAUSE every THING that ANYONE else below him says MEANS NOTHING AT ALL, I WRITE THIS again to get the point over, ONLY the DEALER principal has the say of WHAT actually will happen and what they will do to fix your problem
Camp at his office DOOR and DON'T leave UNTIL he see HIM his office girl will send you away IF YOU LET HER DONT DONT LET her do that EVER.
If your not prepared to do this them you dont have a problem

To get a vehicle that does what the GC does and the service you expect, you need to look at the prestige marks. If you are willing to pay double, then go for it. However, if you don't have that sort of money, then like the rest of us, you'll just have to put up with Chrysler Corp crap and enjoy your Jeep despite them.

I wouldn't mention Jeep Garage. Put yourself in their shoes.
Someone on the phone is saying that a person on an internet forum who claims to be in America with information about your Jeep says the colour is wrong.
Thanks mate, have some real info, then talk to me.
Until they provide you with a VIN, that can be officially confirmed by that Jeep US link I gave you, it is meaningless info that carries no weight.

They are right, Jeep customer service are in no way involved in the order system. They are not privy to this info.

I agree with Tangles - until I got to the dealer principal at Nepean, nothing was going to happen to resolve my problems at delivery. The sales people were useless (Deerrrrr!) but the dealer principal was actually pleasent and made things happen. Like any business I guess.

But in the interests of keeping the lines of communication open with JA, off the back of a truck here is a list of emails for senior marketing, parts, customer service and dealer support people in Melbourne. If you feel like sharing your concerns with the greatest number of JA people in the shortest possible time - knock yourself out.
