Re: WK2 DownUnder

We went on a tag a long tour to the Kowmung River on Sunday. A long day starting in Lithgow, down to Cox River camp ground, Six Foot Track, Jenolan Caves, Kanangra Walls, into the valley down to Kowmung River, Dingle Dell and over to Oberon. Jeep went very well, no problems. Interesting listening to the Toynissans debating low range, second gear, feather the brakes...whatever....on the steep wet hills. In the GC just punch hill decent and down you go. Plenty of low range work but left it in Auto all day. Finished about 6pm and then a hairy run home along Bells Line of Road in the dark with fog and rain.

GMWK2,
Magic trip! Sorry, did I miss the post where you invited us along?
When the Jeep works it certainly makes the manual fourbies look like horse and carts.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

This is the second tag a long I've done with this mob. While it was a good day if anything it was a bit too close to home to areas that I already knew, so it was not as interesting as the last one that went to the Turon.

I'm looking at doing a 2 dayer later in the year.

Is that a request for another dedicated GC day BobT??

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Perhaps we could organise a 2 day'r in July with GMWK as the guide?
Traditionally in the old Ford Territory Forum, we used to organise a X-Mas in July weekend away outing. This sounds like a very good venue.
