Mine was ordered 14 Jan and is currently sitting on the wharf at Curtis Bay, Baltimore awaiting shipment. As are the vehicles ordered by Webby1970 and Rocksfly. (que the Ottis Redding song)

"Sittin' in the morning sun
I'll be sittin' when the evening comes
Watching the ships roll in
Then I watch them roll away again, yeah

I'm sittin' on the dock of the bay
Watchin' the tide roll away, ooh
I'm just sittin' on the dock of the bay
Wastin' time

I left my home in Georgia Detroit
Headed for the Curtis Bay
Cuz I've had nothing to live for
And look like nothing's gonna come my way......"

***************************
Clearly too much time on my hands now.

My prediction for Webby1970, Rocksfly and myself:

The car carrier Talisman is due in Baltimore on the 22 April, leaving on the 24th heading for Australia via for Savana, Manzanillo and Auckland. Due Brisbane on the 22nd May then on to Port Kembla on the 24th.

That will make it just short of 5 months from ordered to delivered for me.

So long story short Tahlee, don't be too disappointed if the dealer doesn't deliver....

Gr8Ness

Hey Gr8Ness,
Add mine to your list too. Arrived at Curtis Bay Thursday.

Talk of a "Foot Operated" Tail-Gate release sounded archaic to me.

I think what's meant by that is if you have an armful of groceries you can just wave your foot under the rear bumper and there's a sensor which unlocks and opens the tailgate. Obviously you would need the keys on you, just like the other doors. A few cars have that feature now but it only came out in the last year or so as far as I know, so hardly archaic.

Tallyho Redldr.

If my "Talisman" prediction is correct then you should be able to have beer on the patio of the Esplanade Hotel in Freo and watch it steam?/motor in on the 1st June.

Oh, okay Studgun, I get it now. Yes I've seen those and you are correct; not archaic at all.

I thought it was a foot operated lever somewhere near the driving position. Sorry to be such a numpty.

Aplogies to Benn0 for misunderstanding your post mate.

I actually work across the road from there so could watch it from my office but I like the sound of your suggestion better!

So if you are in or near the car and your dog wanders by the rear of the car, the tailgate opens.

I think you'd need to be near the boot, but potentially that could happen I guess. Of course you could solve that problem by not having a wimpy rat dog that is so small it can walk under your bumper.

Let me guess Redldr; you work out of a bright blue building?

Seeing as June 1 is a Sunday, why not have a morning coffee at the Beach Street Café and then stroll up the road 100 meters watch your vehicle being unloaded.

Your view. Only they wont be Subaru Outback's you'll be looking at

By definition that is not a dog...... more so a rodent! If its that small it needs to be tethered to your arm to prevent errant seagulls from carrying it off, or to prevent it from falling between the grates, "it ain't no dog"!

Now hang on guys, my Aussie Terrier may be a rat dog but she sure ain't wimpy. She takes on 2m lace goannas and has faced off a diamond python. Rats are just a side line. See http://www.bobtrlin.com/Fauna/Pets/i...033989-3-L.jpg
