Re: WK2 DownUnder

I picked mine up the day after the dealer got it. He said it spent 2 hours on the computer doing 'stuff'. I asked him to confirm that included the TSB for cruise control and DPF, he checked with the service tech and they said it did, but dunno!

No problems so far.

What was the time difference between your grand being delivered to port and the dealer receiving it. I have been quoted 10 days or more. Were any accessories ordered fitted at time of delivery.
The reason I ask is I am going through Cricks as well.

Cheers

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Here was my time line:

Unloaded from boat 19th April
Dealer emailed me to say it had arrived 23rd April
Dealer emailed to say they had it in stock 1 May
Picked it up 6 May

So a little over 2 weeks. They reckoned that would have been the very earliest I could have picked it up from them.....

We can't, well not easily. It's a case of, "Trust me, I'm a dealer, would I lie to you?"

Congratulations Benn0,

Lets hope "No problems so far" are words you can continually voice.

I'm not wishing a failure on you, or anyone else for that matter, but should the dreaded CV Boot failure occur on your drive up to Noosa this weekend, please post that immediately.

A number of us with builds in the 1st Mar to 14 April window are nervous. A number of us have been told no Australian cars are/will be affected.
A similar number have been told that there is no way to determine that.

I believe you and GCnewbie are the first two owners who may be able to determine that.

I sincerely hope we don't hear from you. (Other than "No problems so far")

Enjoy.

Gr8Ness

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Yep, I'm keeping an eye on it, no sign of the clamp being loose. But I am waiting for my first 'problem'..... only done 600kms, so plenty of possibility yet. Still have a big smile on my face driving this thing.

The new BCM apparently has to come from US and I have been told it isn't expected here until end of June. So that's six weeks lead time for parts - its pretty poor really...
