I will look at the MDH when I get home, from memory it was 022811 but will confirm. Ship docked in Melbourne on the 27th May and I took the delivery of vehicle on Friday 7th June. The dealer had the vehicle with them on Monday 2nd June. Delayed because of incompetent finance guy or else could've picked it up earlier.

So dock to dealer about 5 days.. and then add 2/3 days for them to fit / clean stuff. Mine had tint, roof racks, tow bar etc that needed to be done.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Thanks for that.

Being a late Feb you are outside of the suggested time line, though wise to be watchful.

Dealer told me three weeks. Camera and tow pack to be fitted. Suggested delivery 24th or 25th not confirmed as yet.

Enjoy

Cheers.

Hey Mate
Looks like you will be about a week ahead of my Grand. With the recent posts on the camera I am wondering about approaching the dealer to see if I can upgrade it before its fitted.
Hope they got the colour wright on our cars this time.
Cheers

Hey foglamp

I did talk to the dealer about substitute camera and was told Jeep one was better. Yeah. So I figure just make sure they install a camera and I'll look at a fix later

As far as I know it's a granite, hope your baby is the expected colour and a great vehicle for you and yours.
Cheers

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Hmmm, this is a long list, but some of it isn't exactly end of the world stuff, is it?

Quote:
Here’s a list of what has gone wrong with the car according to Mr Wood:
* Fuel Line fell off (at the time of getting handover in the showroom!)
* Loss of all climate controls (twice)
* Rattling in drivers door,
* Clock couldn’t keep the correct time (for two years)
* Bash plate hanging off
* Turbo inlet manifold cracked (tow truck required)
* Rain sensor failed
* Major coolant leak inside vehicle (tow truck required)
* External mirrors getting loose all the time (it has special screws so Mr Wood can’t tighten them)
* Ignition failure (tow truck required)
* Faulty seat belt tensioner,
* Heater exchange cracked behind dashboard,
* Starter motor intermittently running after the engine has started (has been replaced but keeps doing it)
* Drivetrain Control error (tow truck required)
* Wipers intermittently coming on when driving in dry conditions
* Rear strut leaking oil and had to be replaced ...

Re: WK2 DownUnder

No....not the end of the world by any means, but that doesn't mean its acceptable. Jeep's would be class leaders if it weren't for poor reliability and even worse customer service. Get a good one and your laughing, get a bad one and well......

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Do you have a vested interest in this guys complaints Mariner99? You have posted that link in 3 or 4 different posts now, I think we get it.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

I do feel sorry for the guy and it is very very frustrating when you buy a lemon.
But can I point out his Jeep is KK model Jeep Cherokee discontinued I believe in 2011 NOT a current model Grand Cherokee.

Cheers

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Picked my new Summit up last Friday afternoon, unfortunately it has sat in the carport for the last week waiting for the Larkin custom number plate mounts to arrive.
Mounts arrived last night, I am completely happy with the way that the number plates are now fitted .

Anyway with number plates now fitted, I finally got to take the Summit for a little spin around the block only to get a "SERVICE AIR SUSPENSION SYSTEM IMMEDIATELY" message appear

Into John Hughes today only to be told that the control module needs replacing and it will be a 5 - 7 week wait for one to be shipped over from the states!

Not a happy Jeep owner

Are you going to accept this??

Have you contacted JA - maybe they can take the module off another one of their cars while waiting for a replacement from the states.
