First of all, Welcome.

Read through the forum for people with Laredo and the price they have been offered. I think for a Laredo 4X4 petrol you should be able to get it about 49k DA (VIC prices). If you graduate it to a Diesel you can add 5K.

I'd say depending on where you are, look for about 47-48k DA for the Petrol 4x4. Don't be limited to your local dealer.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

2014 build dates are well and truely coming through now so I would expect you to get a lot better deal for a 2013 plate car.
I imagine the extended warranty is if you service with them?
That pre-paid Servicing is expensive, I paid under that for the Diesel 3 year servicing.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

ok so I should push for 2014 build date and bring servicing down to say $2000? And yes the car has to be serviced by that chain of dealers. What did you pay for your servicing?

I don't know the history of QL but WK2's have had it since 2011. So far, I don't recall any systemic issues with it. Also, I haven't heard that air suspensions are particularly problematical on other makes. It won't last forever but neither will anything else. However, if you are interested in lifting, lowering or any other suspension mods then best avoid it. There are no mods available for it at the moment.

I agree. I dont have QL so dont know much about it for day to day use and didn't see the need for it as I wont be going off roading as much as others here. If I do decide to go off road then I would probably end up with something like OME suspension which I have heard is quite good.

I know a few LR Discovery 3&4 have had some issues with air suspension but I guess as with anything you can always have the good and the bad. I for one hope someone brings out an aftermarket option for modding QL. I test drove the new RR Sport and it has QL like setup where it can go up to 9" above standard drive height. I thought that was really impressive.

Yes - my brother has a LR disco 4 and the air suspension has a very big range.

My dealer is into 4WDriving and won't be going with the QL. He has opted instead to put the Murchisons 2.5-2.75 WK2 lift suspension on. Depends on what you want to do with the car. If getting serious, then the lift is the way to go.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Yep, I'd prefer a 2.5inch lift.... BUT if you want that that rear ELSD, then you have to get the air suspension....

Last time I checked ELSD was the diff, not the tailgate.
