Don't know if their still there, but Maddington dvg Jeep spares had a set of 4, 18's with tyres. I think one of their customers offloaded it when they bought their car there... Asking was steep though, around 500 each if I recall.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

There's a set of MY11-13 five spoke 18"s on Gumtree in Perth for $900... and the tyres are genuinely as new.

Everything else is a typical Perth rip-off at the moment.

Far too much detail in that ad.

If you have a look at UNEEK 4x4 website they have a pic of a GC with aftermarket steel rims, may be worth giving them a call?

Might be a good thing actually. I wasn't going to be a biatch by mentioning it... he managed to spell his suburb name wrong.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Is anyone here fully across the legality of adding a lift kit to non-QL WK2's?
The more I read about it, the less clear it seems.
I don't want to do this mod, if it will give my insurer the chance to walk away from their responsibilities in the case that I have an accident claim...

Cheers, Simon

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Simon if you're talking about less than 50mm overall height increase, including tyre upsize if permitted, you're still within vehicle modification guidelines. Unless the work is unsafe / unprofessional in its execution, insurance can't decline a claim... however in most policy wording you do need to notify them. They can then decline your risk.

Whilst the associated legislation should be National by now, there are still variances state to state. I forgot to check where you are...

Cheers,
Steve
